SOURCE: 2002 kawasaki ninja 250 motor on ATV need wiring help

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To my knowledge, there would only be 3 wires needed from the handlebars that affects the engine:

  • engine RUN/OFF;
  • clutch ENGAGED;
  • engine START.
The first 2 would go to the interlock plus the neutral wire and the sidestand wire. The interlock then sends signals that starter motor can turn and that CDI can fire.

As to the ignition coil, 1 wire is IGN B+12 while the other would go to the CDI and should pulsate when cranking or engine running.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: I have a toro 8-25 rear engine rider model 56172

None of the numbers you supplied match any info on the toro.com web site. Check the numbers and then see if toro has any info for you.

That said, it sounds like you connected to the wrong relay terminal. Here is how you want it connected:
The battery (and alternator) connect to one of the large terminals on the relay. The starter connects to the other large terminal. The start switch connects to the small terminal on the relay. The idea being that the small current connected to the small terminal turns on the relay which connects the large battery current to the starter.

Obviously there is more to the wiring than just that, but you didn't ask about the rest...

Ignition problem

Check if the small wire on the starter has power with the key held in crank position. If battery voltage there, either bad battery cables or connections, or the starter solenoid has a malfunction. If no power when key held in start, it could be the safety switch (a clutch interlock switch on manual transmissions, or a park/neutral switch on automatics). You may need a wiring diagram to see the start circuit from ignition switch to the starter solenoid-some have a start relay in that circuit.

I have bought a new alternator for my 1967 ford bronco an its still not giving charge to the battery an i have full power to my wires an everything i was thinking that i might of mixed up the wiring but...

Hello, Check your small wires to the Alternator plug for power using a Testlight or Voltmeter. If the Alternator does not get power, it can't boost the power. The wire runs through the Ignition switch and is dead to the Alternator when the key is off.

Some of the older models used a fusible link and it was around the Battery. Corrosion could break the connection. You are going to need an older diagram for its location. Sometimes you can get help at a Ford Dealer Parts counter. The Parts guys can print you a portion of the shop diagram right off their computer screen. They are usually very helpful and it is free.

Your older model may have an external Regulator. That would be a possibilty for a crossed wire with the Field wire. Most of the Ford diagrams have the color wire shown on the print.

Need wiring diagram for emachines t2200 motherboard

If you are replacing the power supply and it has 4 pin 12v conector and your motherboard doesn't, just disregard the 4 pin plug. The 20 pin conector will supply sufficient power for the processor. Many of the older motherboards did not have a separate 12v supply for the processor.
