Pull start problems

It must be a poor design on the pull start on model Mightylite 26 ss Had the unit for less then a month and only used it 4 times. Recoil keeps jamming.... the inside section is all is there a recall on this new model yet? Model is 21546A or is there a stronger pull start assembly.

The left ear bud has less than 50% volume after less than 2 months. Can it be fixed? It happened all at once.

I have owned three S-11 HDs over the last 18 months. The first had a similar problem do reduced volume in the left side. What I discovered by experimenting was that the problem was not the same for all audio sources. For example, it was common to have poor performance on certain podcasts and certain songs, while playing normally on other songs. I just assumed it was something to do with the quality of the audio file.
The unit ultimately failed by no longer taking a charge. This was after about 4 months of nearly daily use. Motorola replaced it for free under warranty.
The replacement was fine, even for all sources. No reduced volume. That unit was stolen.
I have since tried several other brands and models, but ultimately gave up and purchased another S-11. I have had no problems with it over the last month.
Try different Bluetooth devices and different sources, such as music you have ripped yourself and music purchased from ITunes for example. I suspect it is some kind of firmware issue that Motorola has improved in later versions, as I only experienced this with my first unit.
If you have owned it for less than a year and still have your receipt, I would try returning it to Motorola for a replacement. Their website explains how to do this.

Hello,i recently purchased a graphic equalizer on ebay to work in conjuction with a tape deck, two turntables,two cd players,two mics and a mixer.The model of the unit is a ADC SS-115,i got it home...

I admire your desire to make a nice piece of classic gear whole again but the cost of simply replacing it with a fully functional one is probably less.

Having owned an old Sound Shaper with mechanical sliders I can tell you that you will eventually start to encounter noisy contacts and slider that will drive you crazy. I only used mine for recording and eventually I could never trust the sliders to move without inducing noise. I eventually got an ADC SS-525X with all electronic sliders, Real Time Analyzer/EQ display, 4 curve memories, remote control and life is good.

Surf over to eBay and look around.

There's one SS-525X with no mention of the Remote or calibration mic (which I have but never used anyway). The display lights up in that bright Fluorescent Blue....

When I pull the starting cord it does not turn the motor to start

Disassembly will be rquired to diagnose and/or repair the starter recoil unit. This is a common problem that is caused by a less than stellar design/poor engineering and normal wear and tear. The manufacturer like to use a lot of plastic in the parts and they don't wear very well.

Power head and wand has no power. Unit is less than 4 month old.

Hi, I had the same problem with mine and found that if you plug the power head directly into the handpiece (bypassing the telescopic wand) and it worked only proved the problem is in the telescopic wand. The problem as I found was a broken terminal in the end that connects to the powerhead (female socket). As it is a non repairable part means replacement at $100AUS I have had my machine for 3 years and in this time have replaced the both powerhead once and the wand twice within 2 years of owning the machine. The wand has now gone faulty again 4 months after replacing it and consequently Electrolux only warranty spares for 3 months which I think is poor! Its a great machine but a little too delicate even if it is only used for domestic operations once a fortnight! I paid $700 for my Oxy3 3 years ago and wont be buying another Electrolux product due to poor service (customer and product):((

The spring that regulates the pull cord pops out of place. I have replaced the spring and it did it again.

I have seen this problem up close and personal. The spring is steel and the plastic housing it lays in gets worn by the protrusion on the end of the spring. This is a poor design and even poorer engineering, Yours isn't the only one with this flaw. Here is how I fixed one before.Get very small strip of metal the same height as the plastic tab in the housing. Get some JB Weld. Bend the metal so it protrudes from the tab, make it tight and expoxy it in place with the JB. I used a very small picture hangar for my metal. It was working last I saw. know the alternatives.

I have a Homelite Mighty Lite 26cs gas weed **** and the starter cord will not retract into the weed ****. How can I get it to retract so it can be pulled to start the weed ****?

This is somewhat common in the the "zip start" machines. The recoil pulley is 2 plastic housings with a round coil spring between them. It is designed to need less effort to pull and start the machine. When pulled on with great effort/frustration, the middle spring bends and damages the upper housing. The only semi-permanent solution is to replace the pulley assembly. The part is relatively cheap thru If you can do it yourself, go for it. A repair shop will most likely charge you $20 to $40 in labor to do this.

Today I install a new unit Panasonic CS-S13KKP also have a same problem timer blink and the outdoor unit wont start. Error code is 11. after checking the problem, can not using a 3 cable cord, solve the problem using 4 Cable cord and its run !

GHE monogram ice maker.

pull the icemaker out, say be one inch, shack it a bit, and jam it back in. We've done that each time we had that problem, before it started to work. The icemaker is designed poorly, my openion, and gets jammed easily each time you use the crushed ice. crushed ice jams the ice crusher, and cloggs the pathway resulting a no ice dispensing situation. Also try using only whole ice cubes, instead of the crushed ice. the less you use the crusher the less you'll have to problem. one last thing. if the ice is sitting in the basket for a while, due to poor ice despensor opening door design, the ice in the basket cloggs together causing the probelm.

I too have had the top plastic latch break. A extremely poor design incorporating a hinge on a fixed point screw. We had it fixed under the extended service contract. Prior to the repair person arriving, two, not one, full sets of door gaskets and hinge assemblies were shipped to us. The repair person broke one due to his mis-use of tools. The top latch can only be replaced with the entire door gasket assembly, and he installed both in 15 min. Now the freezer handle is falling off. We installed a GE Profile Stainless kitchen in 2006 and all the units have failed. My wife literally cries over the cost for such poor design and manufacturing.
