Best Solution

You either have a faulty remote/reciever, or you are getting interference from some other electrical device. before you change the remote/reciever try changing the frequency on the remote and the receiver. You will have a set of dip switches or jumper blocks on posts in the battery compartment of your remote and on your receiver inside the decorative canopy cover against the ceiling (sometimes the receiver is built into the motor housing and can be seen from above the motor without opening an access) just make sure the code you use is the same on the remote and the receiver
