Question about HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Printer doesn't turn on

After connecting my printer to a power source it'll do something like its loading then turn off but will have a small camera icon on the bottom left hand corner blinking. pressing the ON button doesn't turn it on. But before that it would keep crumbling up the paper as if something is jammed but there doesn't seem to be anything stuck their.

Changed the ink cartridge and now the printer doesn't recognize the computer. It says the printer is idle. What do I do?

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
  7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

Make sure the Lexmark OCR scan software (used to scan documents, convert into PDF file or create multiple pages into 1 file). The software is available on the installation disc that came with the printer.

What is cycle power error

It has something to do with the power supply.
1. Remove the printer from any UPS supplies, additional power supplies, or power strips.
2. Plug the printer into a wall outlet and see if this resolves the problem. 3. If the printer is already plugged into a wall outlet, try another power source in the building that is independent of the one currently being used. 4. The line voltage and current source at the printer location might need to be inspected to ensure that it meets the printer's electrical specifications.

No power to dell d620 laptop with or without battery, looking for a possible main fuse problem, where could i find it. thanks

The you most likely have one of two things for fuses places, (1) on the motherboard at the power connectors, or (2) there could be multiple fuses (ie. one in the battery, one in the power adapter, and maybe one on the motherboard.) the latter is rare but I've seen it. It doesn't really matter though because any fuses are most likely soldered in and you'll need special tools to change them without causing more harm then good.

However, if your computer is having a problem where it just plain won't turn on (ie. hit the power button and nothing happens at all), with laptops, you could need a new computer.

"Service Call Error E54"

This error code indicates a fault with the Main Motor. Either it's jammed or unusable. Unplug the printer from the power source, leave it for around 30 minutes, . While it's turned off, remove the cartridges, check for any damage, then put them back in. After tha, then reconnect it to the power and turn it on again. If this still doesn't clear the code from the display then you'll need to see a Brother service agent to have the main motor replaced.

How do i change my ink cartridges in my kexmark x3650

Turn the printer on.
Lift the lid that covers the print-head mechanism.
In a few seconds, the print-head will slide to a position from where you can "unlock" and then remove an ink-cartridge.
