Question about Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Calculator

I have a Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus calculator and when it turns on there is just a cursor in the upper left corner and the screen in the middle is black.

Hello

Try reducing the contast as follows
1.Press [2nd] key and release it
2.Press [DownArrow] and release it
3. Keep repeating the sequence until contrast is adequate.

To increase contrast Do the same but press [UpArrow] instead of [DownArrow]

You can't simply enter 7x+9=30 into the calculator, there is a way to calculate what the x is but its been a few years since I've done these..

There is a small line in the upper right corner of my screen when i turn on the calculator. then if i do multiple operations, lines and distortions appear on the symbols on the screen. these distortions...


The normal cursor is a solid rectangle. To clear the RAM, press [2nd][MEM] to open the Memory Management tool. On theat screen select [7:Reser][1:RAM][Reset¸

My screen is blank to my Texas TI-83 plus calculator, batteries have been relaced


Increase the brightness of the calculator. To do this:
1) Press the On button
2) Press the 2nd button on the top left of the calculator
3) Press the Up arrow
4) Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the screen becomes brighter.

TI 84 plus calculator, flashing dot in upper left hand corner


Hello,

When you turn the calculator on, its screen is cleared, save for a small square on the top left corner. This is the cursor and it is blinking: The calculator is waiting for you to order it to perform some calculation.

Try this simple operation
[1] [+] [1] [ENTER]. The calculator will display the result one line down justified to the right.

Problem with my TI-83 plus silver ed.RIgthside screen doesnt work


Hello,
Here is a horizontaly split sceen. Lower oart is normal working scree. The upper part is for the gpahic screen, but I entered no function to plot. In the image the focus is onthe graph screen, hence no blinking cursor in lower (normal entry) screen.

All these are artificially created behaviors. That is why we often suggest to reset ALL RAM or reset the defaults.
