I would suggest replacing your induced draft motor. You can perform an amperage draw test to verify it's integrity first. Also check your high limit snap disks before spending money.:)

Did the circuit breaker trip or did you turn it off and back on? If you had to remove the blower door to get
to the filter make sure the door is secured because
the door has a rocker switch that powers the entire unit.

My air conditional unit outside ,fans turns on but the unit compressor wont turn on,just stopped working this morning.i turned the thermostat to 72 but only the fan on the outside unit comes on and it is...

Somethings aperson cant fix without a service tech. First it could be wire burnt of capacitor going to compressor. Second it could be bad capacitor. There is a dual capacitor on the ouside unit one side says herm that runs the compressor. Turn power off to check to see if wire is burnt of the herm terminal or the C ternminal. Wire burnt off compressor common terminal.. Could be locked up compressor. Unless you know how to troubleshoot unit. You may have to call service tech. Cost if bad cap. is about 100 to 150. But unit wont run without it. Rus

Goodman split unit that heats instead of cools

Hi, Could be a run capacitor on the fan motor. They usually swell up and or leak when they go bad. If not, the only real way to test them it with a specific capacitor tester. A new capacitor would be cheaper. Make sure that the outside unit is disconnected from power before opening it up, try to spin the fan blade by hand. If it doesn't spin freely it may need oiled if possible. See above solution. Your problem is the fan motor though so if this don't do it, It will have to be replaced. If this helps, Please rate my solution. Thanks, kstfas
