Question about Fujitsu Plasmavision P42HHA10 42 in. Television
I'm encouraged but confused--previous guru response indicates repair cost to be close to $600, latest guru feed indicates "minor" repair cost.
If minor means anywhere close to $600, I'm afraid I can't this repair done--and it makes me really sad. The Fujitsu is by far head and shoulders above the newer plasmas I've seen on the market--HD 1080p included. Regardless, $600 repair bill is out of the question for me--not when I'm getting by on unemployment checks. To top it all off, Costco had a Panavision 42" 720p HD at $599. I can't believe my $4K Fujitsu is now a 42" paper weight. :(
I have pointed you in the right direction to fix your problem, you have been given the benefit of over 20 hours of my work on this type of display!
- if you do nothing else, get a quote from a competent technician to examine Main Digital pcb as per Service Bulletin PDP 0068-01.
You have a good chance of getting a successful result at a reasonable cost.
