Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player

Remove software I had to return my defective I Pod to the manufacturer for a credit. I purchased a different type and now I can't remove the software for the old one. When I enquired about this I got a message telling me to go to Zen V R2 version 1.0 for help but this is a forum and you require a password etc. before you can get any help. Can you offer any assistance??????????? Thanks.

I bought a new season of Grey's Anatomy. Every disc plays just fine except the third disc. I have tried it on several different dvd players and none of them will work. What do i do?

Third disc is defective - take set back and exchange it. Hopefully it is a recent purchase and you used your credit card.

If not, you are at the mercy of your vendor. Or perhaps contact the manufacturer of the disk for resolution.

Bought this (expensive) kettle before Christmas and it worked great till just the other day. There seems to be appor connection because it doesn't always start heating.

If it is under warranty, I would have the manufacture repair or replace it. If it is not under warranty then check your receipt for how you purchased it. Not every one is aware that if you purchase products using a gold or platinum credit card, the credit card company will double your warranty period up to one year. In other words, if the manufacturer gives you a 90 day warranty, you now have a 180 day warranty. If it was a one year warranty, you now have two years. If the warranty was 2 years, you now get an extra year to make it three years. While the manufacturer's warranty is in effect, you must get the warranty repair through the manufacturer. After the manufacturer's warrant has expired, you must contact your credit card company (again only gold and platinum cards) and get advice from them as to replacing your defective product.

I was very disappointed to discover that your computer ad was dishonest. You advertised that a "Single Repair Call," without a membership, would cost $12.99, Instead I see that you charged $19.99 for my service call. Since I clearly specified "a one time call," my charge should have been only $12.99. Please credit the difference back to my credit card account or I will charge you with "False Advertising. Recorder was defective and is being returned to seller.

Dimmer won't dim or turn off

Hello Justin, The dimmer you are having the problem with is very likely defective and should be replaced. If you still have the receipt and purchased it within the past 30-90 days from either Lowe's or Home Depot, they will allow a return for full credit and you can get a new one.

If you got this from another store, again, the receipt will be key in getting your money refunded and a new replacement.

Since many manufacturers have started to use more offshore facilities for making their products, there has been an increased amount of faulty or defective units, but the good news is that the prices have remained reasonable and the manufacturers are willing to replace defective products since they know of the quality issues.

If you don't have a receipt, hopefully you charged it on a credit card, so the big box stores can find it using your credit card data.

As an electrician, I've experienced more and more defective dimmers in the past several years, so much so that I typically get a couple of extras for each home I'm wiring. Just remember to tell the returns person that the unit didn't work so they can RTV (return to vendor) the dimmer for quality tracking, etc.

How did you pay for the heater? Cash, credit card, or check? What store did you buy it from?

If you paid by credit card, some stores can look the purchase up. Some stores will accept returns for an equal exchange based on lookup of the charge.
If by check, you can get a copy of the canceled check from your bank. Take the copy with the heater to the store that you bought it, and they will likely allow an exchange.

If you paid by cash, you can contact the manufacturer, and he will ask you for the date code or serial number of the unit (he will tell you where to look). You can then discuss with them how to proceed to have the unit repaired or replaced.

Please keep in mind that Best Buy™ stores do charge a 15% restocking fee on products from select categories whenever they are returned both opened and non-defective. Those categories include laptop computers, digital cameras, camcorders, GPS devices, radar detectors, mobile video products and PC/video projectors. Additionally, a 15% restocking fee may be charged if a product is returned with components missing that were included in the original packaging (such as owner's manual, power cords, and other accessories).

If you were charged a restocking by your local store and were not missing any components when you returned the iPod, you may wish to speak with a manager at that store location or a Consumer Relations representative at 888-Best-Buy (888-237-8289) for further assistance.
