Solution posted by brooksktm02 was brilliant, and I never would have thought of that. I thought I'd add info on how I did it; aim a hairdryer at the white box. It took a few minutes before I saw water dripping from the box. No need to defrost the whole freezer, and I can now get whole cubes! Thanks!
