I have the same problem. After a month suddenly cannot run any 3d program even the test in the catalyst itself. Get enough power and the windows works perfectly. Before that the whole system worked perfectly with this card...

Recently I bought an ATI RADEON X1650 PRO 512Mb AGP card.  After I installed it, the system recognized it and I installed the latest drivers available, including catalyst.  After a couple of minutes the screen black out.  I have an ASUS A8V-X motherboard with 4x512Mb DDR SDRAM DIMMS, a 250 Gb S-ATA HD, DVD-ROM and DVD burner units, an Audigy 2 ZS card and an Athlon 64 3500+ CPU.  Also I have an Antec 550w PSU.  Before the change, I had a SAPHIRE ATI RADEON X800 256Mb AGP card and had no problems with it.  I appreciate any help anyone could give.

Have new Sapphire X1650 AGP card 512mb, Asus P5PE-VM mobo, 2 gb pc3200 ddr, Intel Duo Core 2.8ghz. 650 watt ps, two case fans, in addition to cpu fan, ,ps fan and video fan, all clean.

Running MS Flight Sim X display goes dark, Unresponsive to anything but reboot. Latest ATI drivers. This same system works well with Nvidia display card, but had minimal memory. I am also looking for answers since installing the card.

Eeek its the card getting too hot and thus causing the wierd lines , due to dust build up , remove card & connectors , take off the heat sink , remove old thermal paste & apply new thermal paste (if necessary needs to be replaced if it looks dry and cracked) and remove the dust around it using a brush or compressed air.

ATI RADEON X1650 Pro Problem

The graphics card might not be working in sync with your processor. Get it checked WHY this is happening. Probably a faulty connection somewhere. See if you can find one before getting it checked.
