Question about ATI RADEON X1650 Xt, (256 MB) Graphic Card
I have ati radeon x1650 (sapphire)....in windows i get some crazy lines on desktop...and i cant run any 3D aplication (image is cut and i get a error message VPU Recover has encountered ...) . I installed latest drivers , original drivers , reinstalled windows (sp1 , sp2 ) still no difference. It worked for about a month perfectly with original drivers , then suddenly -> dead. the temperature also is around 65 grades , is it normal ? pls someone reply me as i cant take it to warranty :( and its a brand new card (1month old).10x
Eeek its the card getting too hot and thus causing the wierd lines , due to dust build up , remove card & connectors , take off the heat sink , remove old thermal paste & apply new thermal paste (if necessary needs to be replaced if it looks dry and cracked) and remove the dust around it using a brush or compressed air.
