Do not scan black color

When scanning small or very dark images, its a good idea to place the item to be scanned on the glass, then place 8.5x11 white paper over the top of it.
This gives the scan software "edges" that it can recognize, and once scanned the image can be "cropped" to remove the white from its border.
This has worked on all (4) the different brands I use.
