First of all this isn't an "air conditioner" question but there's no category for electric furnaces.
I've posted this question previously, here and elsewhere, but not gotten an answer I could use. Part of the problem was that I wasn't describing the problem correctly. So, here goes again, but this time I'm going to 'splain myself more better!
I have a Nordyne electric furnace, model 17H. This is a 220 volt furnace that had a fused disconnect containing two 30 amp fuses and two 60 amp fuses. I purchased a Nordyne kit designed to replace the fuses with two 60 amp breakers. I need help with the wiring of this kit to the furnace. Some of the answers I've received have suggested I replace one of the the 60 amp breakers with a 30 amp breaker or even skip the two 60 amp breakers and use a 100 amp panel. Since I've purchased the kit and the kit was provided by Nordyne it ought to work on my furnace! I've also got questions about the kit supplied breakers, as they don't, to me, quite match the descriptions provided by the kit instructions. I can provide more detail as well as photos, wiring diagrams, etc. but I need someone who can coach me through what would be a simple job.
Thanks
Kevin Harris
