The spin-tube assembly needs to be replaced.

This is one of those jobs to call-in the repair professional for.

My washing machine will not drain...

Good Morning, Cindeyellis88:

3 weeks is a long time without a washer. Is the washer not draining for all cycles? Will it spin and not drain, or not spin AND not drain? Can you hear the motor running?

If the motor is running, and the machine will spin but not drain, you will need to open the machine and clear the hoses to and from the pump. There are YouTube videos showing how to open the machine safely.

If the pump is clogged, the problem may extend up to the tub. This happens when socks and small items go overboard.

Good Luck.

Why won't my washer won't spin or drain

If the water is not removed first, the spin will not occur. Do you hear the pump run when it starts the spin cycle? If nothing, the pump may be jammed with debris, or the motor itself may have failed. If the motor runs, but no water comes out of the drain, then look for a kinked drain hose (inside the cabinet) or possibly a stray sock lodged in the drain outlet under the outer tub. Sometimes the pump impeller will come loose from the motor shaft causing loss of pump action. Hope that some of this helps!

Washer does not spin. Motor runs, tub drains, it

Probably some minor annoyance that you can easily remedy. On these machines if you overload it with a rug or comforter OR you run it with lots of clothes and low water setting then that old drive coupling will break. It is easy to fix. Take a look at these repair PIX

GE WCXR1070T5WW washes OK but won't spin and drain

It depends on what type of pump it has.If its an electric pump it could drain without spinning, but if the pump runs off the same motor as the washer then the motor has to be running for it to drain, and it will probably spin. There is no guarantee, but the switch that closes when you shut your washers lid is probably bad.Try bypassing this switch, and see if it spins. Please if it spins replace this switch. It is a safety measure that you should really want to keep intact.

My washer wont spin

Your symptoms that indicates a broken motor coupler. If your washer will drain and fill but has not agitation action or spinning action that would indicate a broken motor coupler. The motor coupler links the drive motor to the transmission.

My Admiral waher model # LNC6762B71 will not spin or drain

with the belt off the pump pulley should turn freeley if it does then with the belt off and in the spin position start the washer with the lid down the motor should run
it it does then you have a transmission problem
if the motor does not run then there is a electrial componet problem

Drain pump starts and stops prior to final spin cycle

Jayron, is the motor jogging? start to spin, stop, start to spin stop. If so, your motor is jogging between the high and low start windings. The motor during spin should start on the high speed windings and stay there until most of the water is drained. GE came out with a new motor, harness and run cap because of this. If you have a meter, there should be a white and white/red wire going to the motor. If you have a steady 120V and it's doing this jogging, replace the motor with the kit...Let me know if this the issue, Catriver..post back.
