Question about Mk Diamond MK - 170 Wet Cutting Tile Saw

1 Answer

MK water saw - water goes every where but on the blade!

We've adjusted the pressure, cleaned the pump and the water spray ports, water just drizzles down the sides of the shroud and onto the tiles. No water gets on the blade at all. When we turn the pressure up it just sprays everywhere but onto the blade. Our saw is an MK370-EXP

When you say you turn the pressure up, I presume you mean you are opening the suction on the side of the pump.

On the saw which I have used in the past it is difficult to aim the warter spray. I opted for more water (open the suction on the pump) and let it go. most of it went onto the saw blade - some went onto the tile, some on me and some on the wall --- put a piece of cardboard or something behind your saw to help contain the overspray.

I've got a Kelvinator dishwasher KD12MM bought second hand, the machine goes on but does not pump water. Please help

Possible that the pump has clogged or is jammed with dirt. you will need to remove the pump and clean the pump assembly for a good spray pressure. If this wont work then the pump is faulty and needs to be replaced.Check this link for tips:

I have a wts2000l and i have noticed that it is burning through blades. The water is pumping through but isn't hitting the blade at all. The water is spraying in opposite directions, I can't seem...

you just have to lift the blade guard and tweek the direction of the outlet, point them so they're spraying towards the blade. Not right at the blade but just so they're getting plenty of water spraying onto the tile. Don't put a bucket and catch the water "over flowing" from the tray, just drain the pan and put the bucket under the drain hole to catch the water. A lot less messier that way.

Saw is not cutting true / will not cut a straight line ?

Check blade is on properly. Remove blade and clean area where mounts to shaft. Make sure proper washers are in place. If blade is bent or wobbles replace. If blade is dull replace. Be sure you're getting enough water to saw. Don't force the tile through, let the saw do the work. Nothing helps any kind of saw more than a nice new blade.

Ridgid Wet Tile saw water pump operates, however the water is not getting directed onto the blade. Hose partially plugged? How to clean nozzle?

You could clean the hose ... however, I think Id get to the hardware store and get a new piece.

Clean the end with a broom straw. You could trim a small piece of the hose off. Dont neglect to clean the filter on the pump. Slide the bottomoff the pump to expose the filter.

Water pump will not pump. I've checked for clogs and it is clean. any suggestions?

Check for a volume dial on the side of the pump--it may not be obvious at first glance, but if there is one check to ensure it is set to something other than the minimum flow.

Also, when you put the pump in the water, make sure it is completely submersed, and fill the supply side hose with water to prime the pump.

Tile saw not cutting straight

Sometimes a blade that is set deep enough will walk in this manner, especially if it is a thin kerf blade like the MK Hotdog blade.

Also, a blade which has worn unevenly will do this too.

MK101 won't start

Can you move the blade with your hand or does the blade not move at all or is the sound buzzing even with the blade spinning cuz mostly this sounds like the blade is stuck and should be able to free it by moving it by hand unplugged all the debris from the tile dust can lock up the blades sometimes if it is not cleaned properly

The saw in not pumping water

I have came across to possible solutions with other tile saws in the past. One is that your pump could have picked up a small piece of tile or sedement from the basin and got stuck in the water port where it comes out on to the blade. The first thing I would try is to disconnect the hose frome the blade shroud while saw is off. **** on the end of the hose until you get water. Sometimes the line needs to be primed and filled with water. Once you get water you can turn the pump or saw on while disconnected to see if water flows. Keep loose hoses away from blade though! If nothing then try the blocked port. Good luck
