if this machine uses an electrical-mechanical timer with cam switches, the try oiling the shaft bushings both for the timer motor and cams-the timer may be getting stuck because of dry or corroded bushings

SOURCE: Bosch Dishwasher Not Draining
Im really not all that familiar with the bosch unit, but a few things i would ck. when you cancel a cycle (it should drain the water) is it humming??? does it sound as if it even trickling into the sink discharge?? do you have a disposer under your sink that this unit drains into, if so remove the clamp and look for possible obstructions right there.Honestly passed this ill have to defer to someone else sorry and good luck

SOURCE: upper sray arm does not turn
If the filter is clogged than stop here. If it was not clogged then Im assuming you replaced the actual spray arm.You have a problem either your water level is too low or your spray arm is not making full contact where the arm elbow meets the tube running down the back wall inside.Check for improper alignment of upper spray tubing.

On the LG LDF xxxx dishwasher family, the Vario feature uses a motor/check valve to switch between "full power" cleaning from _either_ the lower or the upper spray arms, never at the same time. So, not seeing the upper arm spin during the lower arm spinning is standard operating procedure.
But back to your problem. Step one would be to remove the filter assembly again and make certain that there is nothing (debris, broken glass) blocking the white areas where the check valve rotates to switch between upper/lower spray arms. A blockage there ~could~ cause impotent spraying/cleaning.
If there is no blockage and the impeller remains in good shape, suspect a failing wash pump motor. Try to isolate the noise to that motor.
Watch for error codes on the display and report back what you find, OK?
