Depends on what the device is really. I assume this is for a laptop? You will probably have to replace the keyboard as well because they are usually 1 unit. Easiest option, in my opinion is just get a usb wireless keyboard with a touchpad for $20. But if you insist on replacing the touchpad, you will need to know the model number of it so you get the right one. Which may require taking the keyboard off and on the underside of keyboard will be a sticker with model number. Careful not to break the wires. Again depending on what you have there may be an easier way to find replacement parts.

some of the errors I had, I cured, Not ALL, the security package HP is dead for every(finger prints malarkey)
what I did for w10 was to down load all w7 drivers.
then on each one (yes tedious,as heck) I installed them all SPxyz123.ext using w10 , compatibility mode
w7 to 10. as Microsoft documents fully. if your read that
i have list of all drivers for mine that work. just ask.

that keyboard is 100% USDA HP custom , totally custom and HP on mine never sent w10 drivers to MS so PnP fails TOO.
on mine there are no w8 , or 10 or 11 drivers all ,nor will there ever be any as HP told.

all answers me ,USA only period.

that model is bogus you truncated it.
the number has 8 digits not 4.
hp ended support long ago on those.

we have no drivers(SW) harbored here at all zero.

the keyboard will work , in basic form 104keys
but not the custom keys, lacking the gone HP drivers.
nor any macro keys seen will be dead.

Call your ISP service and talk to a tekkie They answer I pod log on problems all the time they resolved mine pretty quick

You can try changing the wireless network name or ssid, change the wireless channel to 11 and enable WPA as the wireless security.Just open IE then type http://192.168.0.1 on the address usernama is admin and password is password then do the changes there.

You are safe as long as you have all the security measures enabled on your router. What you are seeing is people that are in close anough range that has their own wireless network also. Mine will pick up as far as 5 houses away from where I live at. There are several here. Hope this answers your question?
