Unfortunately the screen has been damaged beyond repair & will need to be replaced. The cost a new screen of this size will be almost he same as buying a new TV. As it was accidental damage & if you have home contents insurence try to make a claim for the damage.

My Vizio 70" tv has a spider web crack inside. There is no visible marks on the tv itself. What's wrong and can it be fixed?

If the screen is cracked, there is no fix besides replacing the LCD. Big screens like this are very sensitive to bad shipping or even minor falls can cause problems.

LG 62SX4D rear projection problem. Tv was fine one day, now a few small looking "cracks" have appeared in a few places on the screen. Please help!!!

I would take the back off and see what is going on inside. There could be cracks in one of the projection bulbs or somewhere else. Another thing that could have caused this might be spider webs inside the TV. They could potentially cause something resembling cracks.

From 5 feet back??? I was watching it. he says..did you see anything strike the tv?? I was like, I am going to ignore that rediculous question because I was on my couch..and no one was in the room! he says the only way that happens is if someone hit it! OMG! i have only had this tv for 3 months and paid $2000 for it. why would I HIT my TV!! no one will help me. I have a master plan warranty on it aswell. they wont help me.

\\\SPIDER WEBBED FROM CENTER OF SCREEN. VIZIO 46 BRAND NEW

The plasma display is cracked, this is unfixable, the tv is dead.
If you got it this way then take it back.
If the tv was ok but the crack appeared by itself then it should be covered by the warranty.
If the crack has appeared because you hit the screen then i'm sorry to say that that's it, time for a new tv and more money for it.

One of my kids hit the screen with something. when off it looks fine, but when on the screen looks cracked on the inside, plus there is lines of color running side to side and up and down. sometimes theres...

I hate to be the bearer of this news...but the LCD panel is cracked and ruined. Probably will NOT be worth repair. I have one in my garage JUST Like this, only a few months old, Samsung, and it looks FINE, until it is powered and then you see the "spider web" pattern.

Keep this in mind in the future..flat panel sets are MUCH, MUCH easier to break than the "old fashioned" CRT Sets, that you REALLY had to try and break. A minor "tap", less than needed to break a window, is ALL that is needed to kill an LCD OR plasma set.

The panels cost more than the TV. Check ebay for lightning damaged units and make the swap.
