    The player plays a movie but doesn'tplay my jpegs. It will play 2 pictures of the 45 I have on the disk. they all play on my computer.

    I have Samsung £Way Combination Television Model UW17J11VD























    It does not play DVD discs.



    If you play on onother Recorder and feed through Samsung then it does play.No problem.

    Hello, put my blank dvd in my equipment and when start to read follow until 25 of 100 por cent and dont continue then expulse de blank dvd.

Make sure that the disk is actually spining, if it isnot its most likely the motor if it is the timing on the laser eye is off. this is the most common problems for dvd players. you have to retime the eye its an adjustment that you might be able to accomplish your self get a tech manual for details.

Suddenly my DVD player is saying "no disc" after trying to load DVD. Why isn't it sensing the DVD has been loaded?
When a DVD goes into DVD player it has to spin it and read it. If your DVD player is not reading the disk. The disk could be dirty. The DVD player might need to be cleaned. You could be trying to play a PAL disk on a NTSC player or Visa Versa. or the region coding might be wrong. Try playing a clean disk that you have played in it before. That might tell you if you need to clean the DVD player.

Samsung dvd 1080-p7 will not load disks..getting error message no disc or cant read this disk..was working fine last time i used it
I've been having the same prob... bought the DVD player a bit more than a yr ago. It won't read any disc, audio or video and after loading for a while, it gives me a NODSC error. I tried using the compressed air and also chatted w/ samsung c. service, which told me to reset the device (FF for 15 sec), with nothing happening... It's been only a bit over a year and I have no warranty on the DVD player, so I can't ask for service. If I won't find a solution I will have to buy a new DVD player, but I m trying to solve this prob first. Does anyone have an idea of what to do?

You could try cleaning the laser using a laser cleaning disk. Most of the time when it cant read a disk its just because the laser is dirty. If that doesn't work it could just be a faulty laser

The problem is i cant play mp3 or DVD s in my philips dvd player when i insert sometimes it plays but sometimes it says LOAD but doesn't play.product code is philips dvd dvp3268
When the unit does not load any disk, that is usually because of a problem with the optical laser lens that is dirty, faulty or opaque, and will start operating on certain disks better than others.

In that case you will hear disk spinning, whirring and clicking, but the TOC (table of content track at start of CD/DVD will not be read, therefore the error.

Whe this problem is starting you may be able to read only CD, DVD or Blue ray, or for example only DVD-R and not +R , or only to read and not to write and so on. After more prolonged usage , often the unit goes losing the rest of functions, and ends up not reading anything at all.

If instead there is no noise, and disk does not spin at all , then there is a faulty motor, or the motor micro-switch is bad. This situation is far less common than the lens problem.

Try first using a CD/DVD or Blue ray lens cleaner disk to clean the lens. If that does not work you will need to disassemble the drive , and clean lens directly with q tips and isopropyl alcohol, or to replace the CD/DVD lens, or the whole drive unit.

there ll be a lens in dvd writer which ll be corrupted and disk ll rotate properly even if lens of the dvd writer is spolied...

Only says loading when started, does nothing
Hi, your problem is the laser lens, it went sour. This device is coded to read only region 1 disks, when U attempt to read other regions disks it will read them once, 2 or 3 times but then... it will stop reading any disk regardless the region they are. Regions codes were implanted on disks to control piracy, so USA has region 1, Mexico 4, Asia I believe is 3 and so on. There are a total of 6 regions worldwide, U have to get disks matching the region U are from or, better solution... get a multi-region DVD player.

Cant play anything on it
I had the same problem, After googling for a few minutes I found the reset procedure for this player.

1. Turn it on.
2. Eject any disk you have in there and close the tray.
3. Hold down the "STOP" button on the player (not remote) until the green light flashes red and the system reboots.
4. Insert disk and enjoy.

This worked for me... mileage may vary.
