lid switch is working. i inserted a screwdriver into the switch to be sure

  • djgerold Sep 07, 2009

I tried again the suggestion of making sure the lid switch was engaging. Doing so the machine pumped the water out. I let the machine fill with rinse water. The rinse cycle ran and then again will not pump the water out. Using a screw driver to engage the lid switch had no affect. Won't pump again.

It may be a problem with the lid switch if possible take something to hold in on the switch and see if it works

if your pump isn't working it wont pump water make sure the drain hose to the pump isn't clogged and if not take out thepump and check it

  • roberta3fan Sep 07, 2009

make sure you getting power to the pump also, if not thats why it wont pump out.

  • roberta3fan Sep 07, 2009

so it did work once? your probably gonna have to replace the lid switch

  • roberta3fan Sep 07, 2009

What you can do is jump the switch out and see if it works. Raise the top of washer and unplug the switch wrap electrical tape around the two wires making sure they are together and try it again.

we can eliminate the motor and the switch since that part is working. sound like your timer might be faulty, timer make everything work in persistence cycles, if its goes bad sometime it tend to jump/skip cycles.

Hi. your problem is actually a rather complicated one.

Timer and selector switches The timer switch is usually the largest dial on the main control panel. It can be either a mechanical device much like a simple clock, or completely electronic with just a digital readout.

The timer runs the washing machine in a pre-determined pattern. It provides the electricity to all of the washing machine components at the correct time and for the correct length of time.

The Start switch is usually part of the timer knob. When you set the timer to the proper cycle, you either pull or push the timer knob to start the cycle.

The selector switches or knobs vary from machine to machine. Most washing machines have one or several switches or knobs on the control panel besides the Timer/Start switch. These let you adjust certain settings; for example, the water temperature, spin speed, timer cycle, and so on. Normally, the washing machine completes the cycle selected on the timer, regardless of how you set these switches and knobs.

For LG WM2233HW, Error Code OE. Already check drain hose and filter, all clean. Try different cycles, TUB CLEAN, SPEED WASH. Same error code. No drain.

Replace the water pump. Because the water can not pump out, the machine idles for a while then stops with the error code OE. The technician said, the drain hose should be hang high before curse down to the drainage so air can not go to the hose.

Drum will not spin

Hi,
I am the new owner of a used Asko Cylinda 10504.
The last owner briefly demonstrated the washer starting a wash cycle and entering the agitation cycle of the wash before stopping and pumping the water out and spinning in a final end cycle. I bought it. I had the machine installed turned it on and cannot get it to go through the wash cycle. After starting at #1 it goes through a perpetual spin cycle of sorts--water and soap soaking the drum and laundry but not enough water to fill up half way or less. It stops at number 4 on the program knob sits on a red dot (next to the #4) and does nothing. I then manually move it to the next cycle and it repeats the spin cycle again until I have advanced the program to the end. No wash cycle no rinse cycle. Nothing. When it advances to the red dot I wait for at least 5 minutes before manually advancing the knob. The instructions say that I should get the water pumped out by turning the program knob to #7 or #9 but in both cases it just spins and does no empty or finish in the end spin cycle of several (9?) minutes. Nothing but banging and spinning. The water seems to get into the drum as well as the detergent but nothing else is happening.
No mater where I start the program it spins and sloshes soapy water, pumping almost nothing out.
Any suggestions short of putting it on the curb or paying a kings ransom to fly a tech out to look at it?

MY GUESS.
It seems that it is repeating the same brief cycle over and over. During the move to my house the electronics re set(??!?!?) and now need to be set to the normal mode after being re connected?
Can you help?
Blessings,
Douglas

Will not wash!!

Dangercart82,

I would recommend starting off by trying a different cycle. Change the dial to the spin cylce, or a different type (perm press, normal, knits) and see if it has the same problem.
