Question about LG Dishwashers

Open Question

What is the difference between the 5835ED2002A blower assembly and the 5835ED2002D. The repair replaced the ''A'' with a ''D''. The ''D'' has a drain hose and ''A'' does not. Can this part still be used? Model # LDF6810BB. Thanks.

SOURCE: Info on replacing drain hose on dometic model 2652

You will need to remove the fridge and set it on the floor or at least pull it forward enough to reach the top of the drain hose. There is clip that holds the drain tube to a nipple that sticks out of the back of the fridge that will need to be removed. Remove this clip and the drain hose should pull right off. Route the new drain hose down through the cooling unit coils to the door panel. Attach it back to the nipple with the clip and you should be good to go. The part number for the new drain hose is 2932749019.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

SOURCE: Ford dealer said the blower motor in my 2008 Ford

If it were me, I'd make a lot of noise-that car is not that old to have a blocked drain-sounds like they are trying to get out of what they should cover, and they chose to treat the cause and not the problem (blower motor failure)-you might only have a bad relay or blown fuse, but I would think they should have checked that out-ask them if they did. Tell them that a plugged drain hose in a 3 year old car is the manufactures fault, and it caused the blower motor to short out-therefore, it should be covered, and call Ford directly if you get no satisfaction-there is no reason that should have happened.

Blower motor will not shut off

I can't speak to the cost, a local dealer can do that. As for the reason the fan runs on, it sounds like either a stuck power relay (location should be in the owners manual) or a bad fan speed regulator. Since the fan is stuck on high, I suspect the fan speed regulator is bad. On some cars the regulator is part of the fan assembly, and on some it's separate. Also, there is a possibility you can repair the circuit board, assuming it's something as simple as a burnt out diode. Best of luck!

BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR LOCATION

I have a 06 TB with the auto ac control. The blower motor resistor is located under the dash on passenger side. If you have regular control, the resistor assembly is different, but I assume in the same place. Remove kick panel. Then remove glove box. You will see the blower in the arear behind the glove box. Two wires from the blower run to the resistor assembly. Follow those two wires back to the resistor assemble. Several wires also come from the switch to the assembly. 30 min job to remove and replace the assembly.

1999 Chev Venture Heater core do I need to remove Dash to replace?

The blower motor location can change from year-to-year. It can also change with the trim level of the vehicle. A vehicle that has front and rear climate controls may be configured differently than a vehicle that has front controls only. The following are two different repair procedures. One is for blower motors located and accessed in the engine compartment, the other is for blower motors mounted inside the vehicle.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Engine Compartment Mounted
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine air cleaner assembly.
  3. If necessary for clearance, remove the left hand wiper arm linkage.
  4. Detach the wire harness connector from the blower motor.
  5. Disconnect the motor cooling hose.
  6. Remove the blower motor assembly retaining screws
  7. Carefully pull the blower motor assembly out from the firewall.

1 yr old lg dishwasher model# ldf6810st LEAK/CONDENSATION

Hi,
I have the same problem in my machine, and it seems to be a design problem from LG. They changed the blower and ducts in Dec/2007 for "improved drying performance". I found it in their most recent Service Manual. It seems there is a repair kit that can be installed on models older than Dec/2007, but I am not sure under what circumstances (warranty claims maybe). As I live overseas (there is no LG warranty for dishwashers in my country), I just keep a piece of cloth there to absorb the moist. Sorry.

TOO ALL SAMSUNG LDF AND POSSIBLE OTHER LG DISWASHER USERS:
LG NEGLECTED MY CALLS TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. THE DRIPPING PROBLEM FROM THE CORNERS OCCURS:
1- VENT ASSEMBLY FOR HOT AIR BLOWER SEAL LEAKS: EASY TO FIX JUST USE A GOOD QUALITY CAULK AROUND THE SEAM. YOU WILL HAVE TO DISMANTLE THE BLOWER ASSEMBLY WHIXH IS FAIRLY EASY.
2- THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: LG HAS A DESIGN FAULT. WHEN THE DISHWASHER FILLS WATER AND STARTS PUMPING TO SPRAYS THE AIR INSIDE THE DW HAS NO WHERE TO GO THEREFORE THE WATER WAS PUSHED UNDER THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR GASKETS (THE ONE ATTACHED TO THE DOOR BOTTOM, NOT THE ONE AROUND THE MAIN CABIN). SO AIR WITH WATER PUFFS OUT OF THE PAN HITS THE DOOR AND LEAKS DOWN. THE SOLUTION IS TO LET THE AIR OUT SOMEHOW. YOU MUST TRY TO PUSH-IN THE DOOR GASKET WHICH IS SEALING LEFT/RIGHT/TOP PART OF THE CABIN AND THE DOOR. IF YOU PUSH TOO MUCH THE WATER MAY LEAK FROM THE SEALS SO BE CAREFUL NOT TOO PUSH TOO MUCH. BASICALLY TRIAL AND ERROR. YOU CAN DO THAT AFTER YOU REMOVE THE DOOR COVER. THE LEAKAGE OCCURS IN THE BEGINNING OF THE CYE SO IT IS FAIRLY EASY TO TRY. IF THAT IS NOT A SUCCESS THEY DROP OF CAULK ON THE ONE OF THE DOOR EDGE TO PUSH THE GASKET SO THAT THE DOOR PUSHES IN THE GASKET TO ALLOW AIR OUT RIGHT AROUND THE CAULK. NORMALLY DISHWASHERS HAVE AN ELECTRICALLY ACTUATED OUTLET TO LET THE AIR OUT. THEY JUST WANTED TO SAVE COST AND HAVE US DEAL WITH THIS RIDICULOUS PROBLEM.

Heater/blower fan not working at all after intermittently working

Heater motor is prone to water damage when the small drain scuttle drain gets blocked (usually by leaves).
If the passenger footwell carpet is damp, that's probably the problem.
Worth checking regularly anyway, and/or remove the small cover over the drain which is part of the problem.
Remove the heater assembly (located over passenger footwell) and replace is the easy answer.
It is possible, depending on ability, to strip and repair.
New from Europarts around £130, used around £60.
Have fun!
