If you can solder its fairly easy

first you have to work out how to take the unit apart then when you have done this the old power socket can be removed by de-soldering and solder the new one in.

make sure that the replacement is the same type or sometimes there is some modification required to make it fit to the pcb.

Factory installed 7-way RV plug is center post connected to back up lights

IF the factory plug uses the standard wiring code, then yes, it should be hooked to the backup lights.

You can check with a simple 12 volt test light you can buy at pretty much any auto parts store if you don't have one.

1st you NEED to make sure the tires are chocked and the vehicle is on a level surface before proceeding.

After securing vehicle so it doesn't roll;

Turn the ignition switch to the "on" position. Do NOT start the engine.

Place the shifter in the "reverse" position.

Go to rear of vehicle to confirm the backup lights are lit up.

Using the test light, touch the probe to the center post of the trailer receptacle AFTER you make sure you have a good ground for the alligator clip of the test light.

IF the test light shows power, then the receptacle is wired properly.

To confirm that the center post IS the backup circuit, place the shifter into "park" while leaving the key in the "on" position and retest with the test light. If the circuit doesn't have power then it's pretty much a done deal the receptacle is wired correctly.

Hope this helps.

Coda has flat D 6 pin with center pin grd for 4 wire vs old arrow 6 pin round black one. Flat on bottom, count cw 12345 pins w pin 6 center... 2 pin minus 12 v, 4 pin +12v. For other 4 wire like speed/temp... 1 blue, 3(top) white, 5 pin bot right yellow, 6 center ground for spd/temp. White for speed wheel, rest not known. I used 2wire cable and 4wire cable with 2ft pigtails and 3amp fuse in red wire. I used old radio stereo 2 and 4 pin male female connectors at end of pigtails.

My power supply cord doesn't stay connected to the laptop. Is it possible to replace the part in the laptop that the cord connects to?

The power receptacle in the laptop (where you plug the AC adapter cord) has failed. Sometimes the center pin of the connector breaks off, sometimes the solder joints on the main board fail, sometimes there's a break between the connector contacts and the motherboard contacts. In all these instances, you or the technician has to gain clear access to the laptop's motherboard to make the repair. In order to get this done, you might need clear disassembly instructions, as well as decent soldering skills. You could get a replacement connector usually for less than $10, but the repair charge can be several hundred dollars for some models if you take it to a local shop.

DEWALT DG6300B NO POWER OUTPUT

Hello avid.....

If there is no power to the receptacles:

1. Turn the circuit breaker switches off and disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.

2. Turn the circuit breakers on and test the GFCI's by following the procedures in this manual

on page 1 -

TO TEST A GFCI:

Start the generator. Turn the auto idle switch off. Push in the TEST button (A) on the receptacle.

The RESET button (B) will pop out. Power is now off at the receptacle.

If the RESET button does not pop out, the GFCI is not working. Do not run

generator until the problem can be corrected. To restore power to receptacle,

push the RESET button in. If the RESET button pops out during operation,
stop the generator and check the generator and equipment for defects.

3. Place the voltage selector to the 120 Volt only positions (unless you are using a tool that

requires 240 Volts).

4. Turn the idle control switch off.

5. Turn the circuit breaker(s) off and reconnect the electrical loads. Be sure that the plugs are

securely connected to the receptacles.

6. Turn the circuit breaker(s) on.

7. If there is still no power at the receptacles, take the generator to an authorized DEWALT
service center. To locate a DEWALT service center nearest to you, call 1-800-4-DEWALT

How to install leviton 5225 wsp wall switch/receptacle with three wires wilsoncarey@att.net the old switch has a pilot light /switch /receptacle

For this combo , the white wires connect to the two silver screws on one side of the combo .The black power wire connects to the screw next to the switch. IF you want to have the receptacle hot all the time then jumper the hot black from the switch screw to the receptacle screw. The screw in the center is for the black wire from any lihghts that you want to control. IF it is the receptacle that you wish to control with this switch .. then the power connects to the screw next to the switch and the center screw jump a wire to the screw next to the receptacle

My new WD SATA hard drive does not have a 4-pin connector

Hi nas2,

You can purchas a SATA power cord addapter that can assist you. The cord is called SATA Serial ATA Power Cable. Unfortunetly, Best Buy™ does not carry these cables. You can however google the cord and order it online for cheap.

Sincerely,
