Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T1 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Focus is fuzzy

Two days ago my husbands Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T1 camera's focus changed to fuzzy... and today my camera (that is exactly the same model as his) did the same thing. Why would both of our cameras go bad in 2 days? I have taken thousands of pictures and he's only taken hundreds of photos. It just doesn't make sense to me. The cameras haven't been subjected to extreme cold, sunlight, radio frequency waves, extreme electrical current, etc. I bought a new camera today... but I'd just like to know what you think. I'd like to attach a photo (sample) of the fuzzy picture I took, but I don't see how to do it on your website.

Dear ninimarion

Try to change the different settings on the camera and yet if it doesnt work, u can get assistance from a photo studio in ur locality they should set the settings for u or exactly say if it is a internal fault.

Hi I have the sony cyber shot dsc T1. The battery is fully charged. when i flip the front panel down to operat ethe camers the screen is black but still showing (battery strenth, minutes left, folder...

This sounds like a description of one symptom of a failure with a ccd imager chip that I just received from Welcomejee. Reading the document at the below link describes a black screen, a test you can use to see if that's the problem, and if so, you can mail the camera to Sony for a free repair. Here is Welcomejee's response:
"It is failure of ccd imager chip in your Sony DSC-T1 camera and Sony will repair it free of cost.

Describe your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S500

The fault may be with the apature in the lens, or the CCD sensor sensitivity. Go through all the menus first just in case something was changed.

Maybe the camera is in the manual mode, and the apature is turned all the way down???

If all else fails, the camera may be exensive to service.
