Click start and then run
Type in cmd and then press enter
Type this exactly how I have it including spaces
CHKDSK /f /r
Then press enter on the keyboard
Once you have done that it will ask about a restart
Type Y and then press enter
Then restart the machine and let the utility run

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

My asus Eee pc netbook 904hd was dropped just shows bios set up utility then reboot and selectproper boot device or insert boot media and press a key.please help

Hi there few reason may happens in internal side.
1. RAM disconnecting during fall down the laptop.
2. BIOS CELL disconnecting during fall down the laptop.
3. Hard drive disconnecting during fall down the laptop.
So you need to remove the laptop back side casing and need to check it. If you don't know how to do these then i suggest you call a hardware engineer. Thank you

I don't think F9 works on XP HD versions, only on linux SD versions. Use the Recovery DVD.

you can install windows XP from a Pen Drive/Flash Drive provided that your motherboard supports booting from USB drives.

Further detailed instruction can be found here.

Hi My ASUS Eeepc 1000HE is one week old..WHile typing in hotmail..it starts falling behind the keystrokes and just gets slower & slower to the point of sitting and waiting for up to a minute for it to...

this problem might slow down if you have too many program installed in your EeePC, i have my own EeePC then I noticed if i put too many programs too dizzy to use it, maybe you don't have put any partition on your hard drive, repartition it. And then put only necessary programs to use. And also use Tuneup Utilities to remove and repair some unnecessary files inside your system. Good luck!

EeePC 4G

It is very easy to change to XP windows.

Note: exchanging the unit for bogus reasons
(saying it crashes, when it doesn't) is bad
for your karma! Try the exchange in an honest
manner.

1. Read the instructions for converting to XP, in your manual or go to the ASUS website for instructiions.

2. The required windows drivers are on one
of the support discs that came with the eeepc.
(why would they include these, if the unit wasn't
meant to be converted to win XP?)

3. Or download the drivers from the ASUS website.

4. You must supply your copy of windows XP for this.

5. for easy step-by-step directions go to eeeuser.com

6. prepare to spend about 4-6 hours on this - not quick.
