I do not have a service manual but on a lot of laptops there are stickers put over some screws to stop people from opening them. There are also usually tabs holding the plastic bezel together on the laptop. The dust as well as non working fans can cause this problem.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Laptop

most laptops have lots of little screws around the under side.
be very carfull when taken the bottom of as there is ribbins all over the inside.
if you are taken this fan out to clean,,try using a hoover first, just put the hoover to the side of your laptop and try and suck out all the dust from there.

Need to clean inside tv..mirror and back of screen how do i get to it and what should be used??

Unplug first!
The back will come off when you unscrew the screws and washers.
Only use a dry cloth. No moisture
The static in a rear projector attracts a lot of fine dust and hair

The laptop heats itself a lot

The inside of the laptop may have a lot of dust in it and may need to be cleaned. It might also be worth while to get a laptop cooler. Something like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aerotus/98138764/

Zoom error

Just fixed the same problem on mine. This is what I did:
Unscrew 6 small screws around the lens casing and remove the casing (two layers ((rings)). Jiggle the inner most lens casing while you turn power on. The lens moving (i.e., auto focus) mechanism becomes unstuck. Voila.
The problem in my case was caused by the dust that accumulated inside the casing and caused the auto focus mechanism not to move freely.
Good luck.

MONITOR MEDION MD7317 NOT WORKING

i have some 19 inch medion monitors that have the same problem .. they make a lot of noise and the screen might be jittery/fuzzy ... i found the following:

several capacitors in the power supply (inside the monitor) had their tops buldging .. that shows that internal pressure was high in the caps, usually caused by them being hot and thats caused by high internal leakage .. the caps may eventually blow out the tops (explosion vents) .. the caps are designed to do that instead of becoming a bomb ..

all the bad electrolytic capacitors i have seen so far on these monitors, motherboards and other electronics have been chinese made .. they made millions of bad caps over several years ..

almost all the bad caps had buldged tops but not always .. once in a while i see one thats open but not bulbged .. probably venting elsware ..

i changed the obviously bad caps and the monitors returned to like new performance ..

i dont know about the 17 inch but the 19 inch medion flat pro display is not too hard to take apart .. about 30 screws or so ... speakers have to be unscrewed and you have to be careful not to stress cables that go to the push buttons .. of course you have to know how to solder without bridging paths

LVW - 5005

Remove the cover of LVW and access the DVD assy, unscrew the 4 screws holding the DVD assy to the LVW bottom, remove the top and bottom shield (also 4 screws)and remove the top black plastic cover (4 screws). You will access the DVD spindle.Remove the disk if you still have a disk stuck inside.Visually check the spindle sticky rubber ring, most likely some sticky material migrated on top of the rubber ring and your DVD was stuck on it. Clean the best you can with a cleaner and a non lint cloth.I used a cleaner/degreaser for electronics.DO NOT POWER your LVW BEFORE reinstalling the black plastic cover. There is a laser inside !!! You may now try and if the drawer opens and closes, reassemble everything opposite way you disassembled.
