LifeCam Software won't run

I lost my disk, downloaded software from Microsoft, and installed OK. Now, when I run the program, it stops short of starting and displays the message that c:\windows\system32\qcap.dll is not a valid windows image and suggest I check this agent against my installation diskette.

Also, when I run the audio video set up, it gets through sound, mic, but then the image does not appear. The webcam is plugged in. Not sure where to go next.
