Hi there,

These caps are usually placed in the power supply and across contacts in the power/demo fields. You may be able to solve this by just replacing, one by one, the caps you find in the power supply and the audio amp.  or the aux. power supply is defective. There are two 0.47 ohms resistors which are located on the main transformer output board, which are blown. The result is missing +/- 15V for the analog ICs cause for no sound.

Thanks

HK AVR70 Unit has been fine. Not sure what happened? With the volume turned up loud you only hear 5% of the sound coming out of the speakers.

Sounds like either the speakers are bad or the output stage is bad. Try different speakers and if not, then the electronics will need to be diagnosed.

My Harman Kardon HS 250 has power (as indicated by the power light) however the front screen is blank and no sound is coming from the speakers?/

Possible that the microprocessor stage is not working and is not conveying any display to the unit.
remove the cover and check the 5Volt rail to the mP section. If the voltage is absent check on the 5 volt regulator.
If present and there is no life, then check for oscillatiion of the crystal, might need a CRO to confirm if the mP is working or the clocck signals are present, if data tranfer is present. If not mP is faulty.Take help to confirm and find a source, might be approach Harman Kardon.

Chances are you have wrecked the cone and movement with the overly high input. Nor repairable if this is the case. Check out the makers website for more tech info
