Evolis pebble 3 printer problem

Evolis pebble 3 printer alternately blinks push button on control panel,ribbon light ,cards light and cleaning light blinks one after the other. How can i solve this problem. Cleaning card or normal card is not feeding in the printer

There is a good chance that your main board is blown out. Depending upon the age of the printer, it may or may not be cost effective to have repaired. If purchased within the past two years as a new unit, your printer would be under warranty and you should contact your dealer to obtain repair authorization.

Check if feedr Roller is moving.
Look at backside of printer . There is a card thickness adjustment lever where you feed the cards . Make it positioned at 1 mm.

Hi, did you change the ribbon type at the printer properties? You must choose the black ribbon or monochrome in old drivers.

You must take following approach
1. There is a lever at feeder for thickness adjustment . Check it for proper thickness.
2. There is a hanging lever which acts as a card presence detector just where you place cards check if it is stuck and try to clean sensors aside it by blowing air .
3.Check if feeder motor is working by giving Mf;+ command
4.Check for proper ribbon setting.
5. Try downloading firmware which is available as an exe file for different models on Evolis site.
6. diagnostic software is also available on site.
7. You can also do self adjustment to adjust sensors.

Hi I got Evolis Pebble 4 and I have problem with printing the ribbon light is always ON and it does not print with YMCKO, but when I change to black ribbon K it prints. What is the problem.


It sounds like your ribbon setting in the printer-driver is set to the R2011 (or R2211) K ribbon. It should be set to R3011 for the full-color YMCKO ribbon. Check by locating the printer in the Windows Devices & Printers view (Win7: Start Button => Devices and Printers; WinXP: Start Button => Printers and Faxes). Locate your Pebble printer; right-click; select "Printing Preferences". Check your ribbon setting here and match to the ribbon that is loaded. NOTE that you can only make changes to this driver setting if you have Windows Admin rights with your Windows log-in ID. If you don't, have your systems administrator assist you with this by logging in with their ID.

Fault light showing hand is lit - what does this mean please ? Evolis Pebble 3 ID card printer


It means you need to insert a cleaning card for cleaning cycle of printer.
Open printer properties Click on Tools tab click on Printer self cleaning button. You will get a new dialog box asking to remove ribbon and cards and insert a cleaning card in feeder.
Insert a cleaning card in feeder . Adjust thickness pointer to maximum remove ribbon and just cleck to proceed for cleaning.

Card are stuck in evolis perbelle 4 so we get it by hand and then we have mechanical issues


First check for your card's thickness and adjust thickness lever accordingly.
Take a soft cotton cloth soaked with Isopropyl Alcohol with minimum water content.
Clean all Rollers including one roller below the feeder.
For cleaning Rollers you can take out ribbon and press the push button on front panel.
This will move Rollers and you will be able to clean rollers easily.
Clean the rollers below ultraviolet ribbon sensor and the roller set at output hopper also.

At the moment blank cards are not feed into the printer. The cards are always been jammed and the 3 lights are displaying a MechanicalProblem. I would be extremely happy if you can advise me on how...


You may try cleaning all Rollers including feeder roller.
To move rollers just remove ribbon , feeder and press front panel button and keep it pressed with top cover open . All Rollers will start moving and you can clean them easily using cleaning kit.
Also check for thickness adjustment pointer.

First clean Rollers and print head . Check if you have increased luminosity and contrast too much in printer Graphic properties. If this doesn't solves your problem increase x offset little bit using Px;+ command in Dialog with printer

Clean all transport rollers . check for X offset by giving Rx command in Properties/Tools/dialoge with printers. Increase offset little bit using Px command

Evolis Pebble 3 printer: the varnish is being put on as black


Check if ribbon type is proper.
Do self adjustment at once.
Clean optical sensors emitting blue light just below you install ribbon in printer

Check settings for ribbon in driver . Whether it is correct or not.
Clean the ribbon sensor panel with Iso propyl alcohol and brush.
Panel is just situated below ribbon . You will find blue coloured LED type thing it is sensor only.
Try self adjustment using command Sa;c , Sa;r and Sa;h from Dialog with printer window..
