Usually all the printers will be designed in such a way that if you open the lid of the printer which covers the cartridge, it will automatically sense that the lid is opened and will stop any printing operations and then will bring the cartridge to center so that it will be convenient to remove and replace it from the printer. All this works well only if the printer detects that the printer front cover lid is open which is sensed threw a small button like switch which is pressed implicitly the lid. Just check for that switch like contact and ensure that it have not got struck. Then power on your printer and open the lid, to get your print cartridge to come to center automatically.

I hope this is helpful to you.

Green light flashing and ink replacement light flashing red - when you press the button the cartridge holder will not move to the centre to allow it to be replaced

Try to look for a ruler or something that will make you press the cartridge cover fully. It may be loose or not snap in properly thats why the cartridge holder won't go all the way.
Hope this helps.

Where is the toner cartridge and how do I find it?

Plug the Lexmark 2600 into an electrical outlet and press the power button. Allow the unit to power up. The power button will turn green when ready.

Turn on the Printer and Open the top cover of the Lexmark 2600 by lifting the cover upward. you will find all cartridges down there.

Now you see how to replace them

Remove the black ink cartridge from it's packaging. Remove the tape from the black ink cartridge first and place the cartridge into the left ink cartridge holder. Press the cartridge down into until you hear it lock into place. Close the ink cartridge holder lid by pressing it down firmly. This secures the ink cartridge in place.

Remove the colored ink cartridge from the packaging and remove the tape from the cartridge. Place the cartridge into the right cartridge holder and press down until it clicks into place. Push down the cartridge holder lid.

Close the lid of the Lexmark 2600 and allow the print cartridges to align. The power light will be blinking while the cartridges are being aligned; once the power light turns solid, the printer is ready for use.

The red light is ON on the printer. How do I reset my printer? my computer is showing it as ready for use but wont print. I just put in a new cartridge>

If thr red light is on and you just put a new cartridge in in it some times shorts the fuse so try.

You have to change the fuse:

The fuse is 250mAh and 3/4" inch long (20 mm) round glass with metal ends.fuse.jpgThe electrical contacts are not in the cartridge but inside the printer: There is a plastic fuse holder on the cartridge, even the starter cartridge. You just simply pop it into the holder. This will stop the flashing red LED and the system tray will say the cartridge is full.

How to load new ink into printer Canon Pixma 620B ? Thank you!

Step 1.
Open the hood of your printer; if the ink cartridge holder does not slide into view, check to make sure the printer is turned on.
  • Step 2 Remove any empty cartridges from the ink cartridge holder and dispose of them properly. Some Canon printers have a protective cartridge lid that must be opened before you can change a cartridge.
  • Step 3 Remove all protective tape and plastic film from the fresh cartridge. Canon uses a bright orange protective tape on its ink cartridges. Some Canon ink cartridges also have a bright orange protective cap over the ink nozzle that must be removed before installation.
  • Step 4 Insert the new cartridge into the ink cartridge holder. Tilt the cartridge up slightly and insert end-first into the proper slot; push down gently on the cartridge to lock it into place. Some Canon printers have an indicator light that will activate when the cartridge is firmly installed; other models have a cartridge cover that will lock into place when closed.
  • Step 5 Close the hood of the printer. The printer will indicate when it is ready for use with a message on the LCD screen or by blinking the LED indicator light.

    Things You'll Need:
    • Replacement cartridge (black, cyan, magenta, or yellow)
    1. Step 1 Turn on the printer and press the Color button.
    2. Step 2 Lift up the scanner and wait for the ink cartridge holder to move into position. Remove the ink cartridge holder's cover.
    3. Step 3 Push the tab at the back of the empty ink cartridge to free it from the cartridge holder. Lift the empty cartridge out and dispose of it.

    5. Step 5 Insert the replacement cartridge into the appropriate slot of the ink cartridge holder. Push down on the replacement cartridge until it clicks into place.
    6. Step 6 Close the cartridge cover and lower the scanner until it clicks into place. The printer is now ready for operation
