Sometimes removing battery will mean the radio has to be re-coded on re-placing the battery.
You may this same situation if your battery went completely flat.

Daughters car battery went flat now require security code for alpine car stereo engine number is 4A9228091

You car stereo security code is specific to your unit and is normally found in the car owner manual along with the engine number.
Providing it is the original car stereo, you can also ask the car manufacturer dealership for the radio security code.
Hope it helps!

Hi, the battery went flat and none of the paper work that we were given with th e car has the radio code. Can you tell me were to get the code from. Thanks Frank

Normally I would visit the local Hyundai dealer who might help in finding the code for you, ie, if you can't track the original seller. I am assuming there is a service fee involved.

Also noticed a website that helps with radio codes for different makes of vehicles including Hyundai. They seem to charge a fee of $28.

http://www.radio-code.com/HyundiaPayPageRadiocode.htm

Does involve taking the radio out and checking its serial number etc.

Hope this helps. Please rate this solution.

Hi my partner's father has a Hyundai Getz 54 reg. The battery was totally flat and had to be removed from the car to re-charge. Everything now ok except the radio/CD will not work. Its flashing when little...

See if you can find the original documentation that came with the vehicle - especially anything that would have been provided when the vehicle was originally purchased. If you cannot find these documents you will need to contact Hyundai. What you will be looking for is a code to enter for the radio - the code is an anti-theft device / deterrent so proof of ownership of the radio may need to be provided in the form of the seial number of the radio.

Car radio

Firstly check the service book. There was originally a card in that with the code on. Check the radio book if you have it. Personally, i write the code on the radio, so maybe pull it out and have a look.
Failing that, you can pay peugeot about 30 quid to release the code to you if you have the car!

RADIO IS LOCKED

You just need to go to a dealer, as long as its the original radio that was fitted in the car they will charge you £10 to fix it.
