Hi there,

First of all you need to check for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker, if all are ok then check the Door switch - The door switch is important because, if it's defective, the dishwasher won't work at all. To reach it, you need to remove the control panel cover, or sometimes the interior liner of the door. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
post model number of your dishwasher for more information ....

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Fuse is located on the control board, you need to open the board to check out the fuse. if fuse and door switch are fine then you check for Wiring - Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dishwasher, burns and breaks the connection. If that's the problem, the wires must be repaired/replaced as necessary. If that's not the problem, check the wiring to the door switch, the wiring between the door and the lower part of the dishwasher, and the wiring to the timer. Repair any broken, burned, brittle, or defective wiring, using the proper appliance-grade wire and connectors.

Oven Won't Start

You need to use an ohm meter on the switches to verify that they are actually opening or closing electrically. You could also have a bad thermal protector. Check for one on/near the magnetron to make sure it has continuity. And, there are many other less likely causes, as well. Too many to list.

The microwave starts on its own even without pressing the start button as long as it has power but it won't heat up.

You at least have a faulty "start" switch and probably a faulty door safety interlock switch and maybe a faulty latch. You can remove the cover and start checking the switches with your VOM if you like. Unless you are handy and can do this work yourself, it is probably not economical to have this repaired by a professional. Do not touch the capacitor. this (usually silver) can device is electrically very dangerous.

Door will not close all way, goes up and down ok I cant see any adjustment

Possible fault in the door lock assembly where the reset switch is also placed. So if this switch is jammed or the lock has not opened then the door may not close.
So remove power connection and open top lid to look into this section.

It always say F7

HI. This is, essentially, a inverter fault error cofe(F7). This code will indicate that there is an electrical circuit malfunction located at the L1 an neutral junction point on the main inverter board, itself. I will post a quick check point list below to guide you through the necessary troubleshooting that is needed at this time. If all check points below check out ok, simply replace the inverter board.

Check Points:

1. Check door, hinge and cavity front alignment and adjust
as needed.
2. Check the operation of all interlock switches.
3. Check the thermal fuse for the magnetron.
4. Check all Cavity Thermostats for closed circuit.
5. Unplug the oven for at least 40 seconds. If removing power for that length of time solves
the problem:
A. Check the Cooling Fan for proper operation or
blockage
B. Check the resistance of the magnetron thermostat.
It should be 0 Ohms, replace if necessary.
6. Verify that the control cable to the 1100 watt inverter
is properly connected to plug P2 on the display PCB
& Adjust or Reconnect
7. If interlock switches operate correctly, replace 1100W
inverter.
8. If problem persists, replace the main control PCB.

When I turn on my oven for cleaning it shows a f9 problem...could you help me with that

An F9 error code on a General Electric oven indicates that the oven's electronic control system has detected a problem with the automatic door lock. The automatic door lock mechanism prevents the oven door from being opened when the oven is set for "Clean" mode. The malfunction may be a jammed door lock mechanism, a pinched or broken wire, a faulty lock switch or a fault in the control board itself.

Things You'll Need:
  • Ohmmeter or multimeter
  • Phillips screwdriver
#step1

Disconnect power to the oven.
#
Step 2

Open the oven door. Remove three screws from underneath the oven's control panel. Lift the control panel straight up to disengage the mounting pins on the top corners of the panel, then tip the panel toward you.
#
Step 3

Inspect the door lock mechanism. The mechanism is in the lower left area of the space behind the control panel. Rotate the cam on the door lock mechanism to be certain it moves without binding. Replace the mechanism if its mechanical parts do not function properly.
#
Step 4

Inspect the wires that connect the door lock mechanism to the control panel. Check for pinched or broken wires. Check for wires with frayed insulation. Repair wires as needed if defects are present.
#
Step 5

Locate the six-pin connector on the door lock motor on the right end of the door lock mechanism.
#
Step 6

Rotate the cam on the door lock mechanism to the unlocked position. Test the resistance between Pin 3 and Pin 1 of the door lock connector with the ohmmeter. The resistance should be 0. Replace Lock Switch 2 of the door lock mechanism if the resistance reads other than 0.
#
Step 7

Rotate the cam on the door lock mechanism to the locked position. Test the resistance between Pin 3 and Pin 2 of the door lock connector with the ohmmeter. The resistance should be 0. Replace Lock Switch 1 of the door lock mechanism if the resistance reads other than 0.
#
Step 8

Contact a certified repair facility if the source of the F9 code has not been discovered.
Troubleshooting the oven with the electric power turned on is a job for a certified technician.

Do not perform troubleshooting on the oven with the power connected. Personal injury and damage to the oven can result.

When i opened the microwave door the power went off. Main fuse seems to be ok

if you close the door, hit start, and it continues to work, then it's doing what it's supposed to do! safety feature!
if it 'pops' a breaker, then there may be a problem with the 'safety interlock' switch, which is engaged when you close the door! possibly cause an electrical "short' when you open it. then you need to get switch replaced!
contact a qualified repair person, or check if your warranty is still covered, and have retailer, or manufacturer rep. fix it! if it is a switch problem it may cost less to replace the microwave!! do the math!
good luck!

Turned light on. Several minutes later the light

Your unit may employ a switching power supply and these have a tendency to cease operation without warning and servicing these may require training and a piece of specialized equipment.
With the unit unplugged, after an hour or two, it is safe to open the housing and check for an internal fuse which could have failed.
If typical, these will be in a tubular ceramic housing about 1 1/2" long and 1/4" in diameter and can be purchased at most hardware stores.

LG LMVM2055SB over the range microwave keys not working

Is it possible someone may have sprayed cleaner directly onto the keypad area?

This causes moisture to get into the keypad and sometimes onto the control board.

This could mean that they control panel frame with keypad (membrane switch) would need to be replaced.

Can you give more details on the cleaning?

The most common suspect here is a shorted high voltage capacitor, since you say it blew the fuse right after Start, but I would certainly suggest checking the door switches and door switch mounts first. Just be sure you installed the right fuse. It would be a The switch mounts seem to break at about this point in the life of these models.
