The 3,6 and 9 button stopped working on my phone. the #sign still works though

hi . :) . put the charger on the phone and after 30 minutes push & hold the power & home button together till 30 40 seconds & you gonna see the apple sign then remove your fingers the same time . gonna work

Ineed to know what kind of shifting system you have. Is it a shift lever or a push button systemThe fact that it works sometimes is a good sign. So this means its not completely broken and could be a simple adjustment

My phone did this a few times as well. It went on for a few days, I couldn't answer my phone unless it was closed and I slid it open, couldn't look at text messages, nothing. Finally it died and I recharged it and it started working again.
Later on the phone also would act like I was randomly opening it, so it would light up, causing the battery to die faster. Once it died completely I charged it and it worked fine again. So far it's been a month and it hasn't happened again. Now though my phone stops working where I can't receive calls or text or make calls or send texts. This can last for 20 minutes to 3 hours at a time. I can't wait to get a new phone!!!

that is a device issue and your phone needs replaced

I had this problem last week. Though I have had mine for over a year. It is not a fixable problem. I hope you included insurance with your phone purchase because I was told it most definitely needed to be replaced. I got my new one, they sent it overnight delivery.

It was so frustrating not being able to see my texts and dial a phone number that was not in my call logs.

May be the phone is 'locked'. Check for a locked sign (probably a padlock sign) in the top edge of the screen.

Try Connecting the Charger. Sometimes that will turn the phone On. No Guarantees it will work though, just a thought.

Most likley you have a bad touchpad. Most times its a key that is stuck and there is nothing much you can do except replace the touchpad control. It is a common problem with all electronic ranges. If the range is 13 years old I would thik about replaceing it. Good luck
