Hi there,

Most likely it seems a failed power supply, there must be some failed capacitors and cold solder joints. Check for bulging and leaking capacitors these capacitors are located on the main board of your TV to check them you need to screw up your TV. Not all capacitors will show damage but many will. The only way to know for sure what is causing the problem it the proper repair all the electronics must be diagnosed by someone with the correct electronic test equipment and the skills to use the test equipment.
If you need to precede further then add some comment....

Thanks

I had similar problem with my Polaroid 42 inch. The screen would be fine for 10 minutes or so then go black. I found a work around that solved my problem and maybe you can to. What I did was remove the back panel of the TV. Make sure it is unplugged first. You should be able to see the electical board. Somewhere on the board may be a switch that says "Burn" or something with "Burn" in it. I set the switch to the "Burn" setting and the TV has worked fine ever since. Good Luck.

Most Polaroid flat-screen TVs won't program to the Uverse remotes. Try buying a different universal remote that shows coding for both Uverse and Polaroid.
