Question about Apple iPod nano
If you have thousands of songs in iPod and want to get off music from it, you have easy methods to do that. If you only want to delete several songs from your device, you can go to the music app in your iPod, and tap the song from right to left, then you'll see the red "Delete" button. After tapping the delete button, you will move the song from iPod. However, you can only get music off iPod one by one with this method.
Another method is using iTunes to get the unwanted music off iPod. You should turn off the auto-sync at first. You need to plug iPod into computer via the USB cable, and then sync selected songs with iPod. By syncing with iTunes, you're also able to delete music from iPod. When syncing with iTunes, the non-purchased music files in iPod will be erased.

Besides using iTunes, you can use an iPod Tranfer tool which can tranfer, manage file between iPod and PC, including deleting file. With this tool, you can get songs off iPod easily without connecting iTunes. You can have a try of this Wondershare iPod Transfer which fully supports all model of iPod. You can free download it at: http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/ipod-video-transfer.html#181.
Hope that helps.

You can set your iTunes to "manually manage music and video", then plug in your iPod to iTunes, and delete the songs from your iPod with iTunes.
