Question about Sony Grand WEGA KF50WE610 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

My SOny Projection HDTV makes buzzing noise when turned on

Each time the TV is turned on, it makes a buzzing noise. WHen the TV is turned off, the noise is still there until the TV completely shuts off after approximately 1 minute.

If tv is a dlp you have eithor a bad color wheel or bad fan.would need model number to research it more

My RCA projection tv makes a loud buzzing, humming noise. Does as soon as turned on even before picture comes on, does not stop till tv is turned off.


buzzing noise is cause by small electrical arc inside the unit or a problem in your audio circuit.if you can open the unit up and check if its an electrical arc.

KDF60-60wf655 lamp relacement problem


Make sure you have the lamp seated correctly
If you used a non sony lamp it may not be compatible

remove the lamp and look to see how the two connectors line up
they are the most important

Buzzing/screaching noise when turned on, standby light blinks and then lamp light blinks


It sounds like a bad lamp. Replae the lamp firts, but there is a chance you have a bad lamp driver also.

You have a bad lamp. Thats it. The buzzing noise is the ballast firing trying to re- start the lamp.
