Question about HP Photosmart 3310 Printer

Photosmart 3310: unable to fax from Solution Center GUI

I have used the level 4 uninstall for a comprehensive uninstall of the 3310 s/w running on a HP a1730n w/ 4Gb RAM, Vista 32 Ultimate. I disabled all the firewall, anti-virus and other Symantec services, rebooted and installed the latest AIO_CDB_Full_Network_enu.exe from HP with no apparent problems. Used the Fax Setup Wizard with apparent success. However, when attempting to fax from the HP Solution Center, I receive an error message: The fax scan failed. Retry the fax. I retried several times with the same result. I went online with HP chat, and had the same result. I can fax from the 3310: I can scan from the 3310 as well as through the GUI; and I can receive faxes.

If u r using IE7 please uninstall it and try in IE6 ... seriously if u r pissed of that problem do give a try ...

Why dont you try uninstalling this form your PC/laptop and reinstalling it again.
This should help restart the printer again.

Faxing Hp Photosmart C8160 Solution Center Doesn't Work

This might be one of the communication error issues,
if your printer is connectd to your computer tower using the USB cable make sure that the cable is not too long and also it would be better if you are using the cable that came with the printer

also check if the printer is not connected to a surge protector,it should be onnected directly to a direct power outlet.

check if you do not have multiple icons of the printer in the control panel under printer nad faxes

check if you have the right tab chosen for the printer in the solution center.

try a semi full reset which is # and 3

AS you said that a paid hp support couldn't resolve it

Photosmart 3310 All-In-One - Cannot install..... Downloaded software from HP web site - 96% install it brings up a "FATAL ERROR" message and then uninstalls it. Running Vista - Help


The installation will get stalled at 96% , because due to 3rd party service running, will not allow to install HP printer driver.To resolved this follow below steps

1.Disconnect the Printer and uninstall the software.
2.Reboot the PC.
3.Click start, then in "start search" box type "msconfig"(without quotes).Click OK.
4.In System Configuration Utility, Under GENERAL tab, click on SELECTIVE STARTUP, Uncheck "Load System Services" and "Load Startup Items".Click on Apply
5.Then Click on SERVICES tab, at the bottom Check "Hide all Microsoft Services" and then click "Disable all".
6.Click apply and OK. Reboot the PC.
7.Now install the software.

Please let me know once you have done this.

Error HP Photosmart 3310. No strart print, no scanning...

I have a Photosmart C6180 all in one and get an error message 0xc18a0101 Ink System has failed. Unable to copy, receive faxes or print. Refer to printer documentation. Error: 0xc18a101.

I put new cartridges in and tried to recalibrate as mentioned by someone on the board. Can anyone help, please?

Printer problems for HP Photosmart 3310

Try running antispyware and virus program to eliminate this, housecall is online, thorough and free. It removes it too. Try and see if updating the actual drivers help off HP website. Check settings to see if it is not accidentally set to only print test page or to work offline or similar, uncheck tabs if they are.
