Depends if you're pppoe or dhcp configuration
sympatico and verizon dsl are examples of pppoe

to access the settings on your router open your browser and type in the address line 192.168.1.1 . Type only "admin" in the password field and then put in your appropriate information. Remember to encrypt it. select wep or wpa for increased security. select only 64 or 128 do not go higher or you will compromise connectivity and speed

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Trying ti install my dsl-2640b wireless g adsl2+modem router

If you have plugged the ethernet cable directly into the motherboard, make sure the onboard lan is enabled in the bios, if you have plugged into a pci nic adapter you will have to install a driver for it, winxp should have the driver for your adapter other than that I cannot help any further.

best of luck
