Hi there,

Try the following steps -
- Make sure there is water/formula in the solution tank and check to see if water comes through the cap insert by pushing up on the “X” valve on the insert. If not, clean the cap insert with a soft bristled brush and hot water.
- Check to ensure the red or black gasket on the cap insert is attached to the cap and not lodged in the reservoir of the machine. The gasket is a soft rubber material. Without this gasket attached, the tank does not seat properly.

If the tank releases manually when the "X" valve is depressed and the gasket is attached:

- Remove upholstery tool and depress trigger for 30 seconds with unit turned off. Turn the machine back on, depress the trigger, and lift solution tank up and down. This will prime the machine.

- If the machine sprays with the tool detached, gently clean the spray tip on the tool using a paper clip.

- If there is still no spray, try suctioning up a full tank of hot tap water into the collection tank to soften/release a possible kink in the tubing inside of the vacuum hose that carries solution out to the spray tip.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Kenmore model 11628015700 suction motor won't run

Sometimes a motor will get a stuck carbon brush. Remove the motor from the machine and spray it around the carbon brushes with lectra motor cleaner. Do this outside FYI. This is a CRC product.
Next try hooking it up to a pair of leads, gator clips etc.. than you can plug into an electrical outlet to test it before reinstalling it. If it pops and sputters your motor is gone. PS Kenmore parts run 150 percent of outher brands so when you go to replace it maybe look at a manufactures brand directly. IF you can not disassemble the machine you can tap with medium force around the motor housing with a rubber mallet. Plug the machine in and turn it on while you tap the housing. Sometimes you will hear the motor come to life as the brush is knocked free.

New Filters have been fitted on the Sebo automatic XI

OK - I'm a Sebo expert, and we will get to the bottom of this! I need you to do one thing for me: lie the machine on one side, then switch it on and look to see if the brush roller is revolving - KEEP FINGERS and all loose items WELL CLEAR. Does the brush revolve? Then, with the machine switched off and unplugged, see if you can rotate the brush roll by hand. Does it revolve easily, or is there a lot of resistance? Then post a reply here saying what you observe. I'll get back to you when I've got your reply.

No suction or spray - Eureka Atlantis Steam Cleaner

I got the machine working. I think because it hadn't been used for awhile that the seals were dried out. I wet them and let it sit for awhile and then I could push the containers all the way in and seated them properly. Then it started working no problem and I got to clean my carpets.

My steam vac deluxe does not have enough suction to pick up water

For the brushes:

The power wire may have slipped off. take apart the unit at the top (Behind the cleaning fluid container) Inside there is a wire coming up from the motor at the bottom of the unit. This can come unlpugged no longer powering the scrub brushes. Simply slip the wire back on the plug.

To open: remove all visible screws from top half of machine. Remove the rubber mode dial by pulling off, and remove screw behind that. Pull the front off, and the power plugs are located right on the inside of the machine by the mode dial.

for the suction, check the intake hose the comes out from behind the floor assembly. it tends to split over time

I can not seem to get the attachment for the upholstery cleaner to operate what am i doing wrong????

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
The attachment works on the suction from the Hoover Steam Vac and it’s either a straight suction tool or a revolving brush, check the front of the machine to see if the is a switch to turn on and odd, also before you attach the upholstery tool check the end of the hose for suction, it may be that your upholstery tool may be clogged or the brushes are not spinning and a part may be broken. Feel free to check with you local vac dealer or a new or a good used part if you find out what is wrong. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Brushes

This machine has no belts. There is an air driven turbine that propels the brushes. If you look under the little glass window at the left front corner of the machine, there is an intake screen just above the indicator dial. That screen is there to keep debris from entering the turbine and will have to be kept clean. If it is clogged, then the turbine will not function. It is also possible that moisture has entered the turbine and siezed the bearings. If that is the case, the turbine would have to be replaced. Also, because this turbine works off the suction of the motor, if the recovery tank lid is not on correctly, then the suction loss will effect the brushes. Check the lid and make sure it is on right.
