Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
The F1 code has become a common issue. My Cabrio was repaired thru whirlpool. There is no recall listed on the whirlpool site but there is one. Call 1-800-253-1301 and have your model number, serial number and purchase date ready. Let them know that your washer has been having the F1 code and you have read on the internet that this is a common issue & there is a recall. They may tell you there is no recall but be assertive. They kinda gave me the run-around and then finally stated they would repair it as a courtesy. Make sure they are going to cover the parts and labor. They will probably send someone out to check and see if the F1 code is stored on the washer. Then they will have the computer board sent to you and will return to make repairs once you have recieved the part. When the guy is there ask him about the updated wash plate that is available. The new wash plate is of different design and is supposed to make the clothing "ball up" less during the spin cycle. They also updated my wash plate for no charge.

This is from a service bulletin. This may be of interest to you. There have been many problems with these machines in this area. Anyway, I sympathize and hope this helps. I would contact Whirlpool. There have been some cases where they will cover the repair charge. Best wishes.
