Question about Whirlpool 25.6 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice Dispensing System
Rubber seal gasket (door on ice shoot) isn't sealing anymore. Replace with new...although my GE require buying the whole mounting part along with attached rubber seal. Shine a flashlight on the inside freezer door ...facing out through the CLOSED shoot and if you see even the slighest light by looking up into the ice/water dispenser on the front of outer door you will see how much air gets in that way to freezer.

I see this a lot with people who mainly used crushed ice. It will leave small pieces of ice behind and add up to a clogged situation. If you mainly used crushed ice you will need to run full cubes thru every so often to keep the chute clear. Another cause of this would be the flapper door on the dispenser doesn't close completely and warm air gets in and melts the ice in the bin so it clumps together and won't dispense. In this case you may need to replace the solenoid that shuts the door and/or the door. Let me know what you find.
