Sounds like your evaporator(freezer) fan motor is bad. Also notice, the main control board has no.s of relays on them, when the relays go somehow energised, then the clicking cound appears. To resolve, replace The Main Control Board and the Defrost compressor. Also notice is the sound " hmmmm " and then " click " and a break for a min and then again, then the compressor has badly failed. Also notice that is the refrigerator lights get dim on dispencing ice or water. If yes, the Main Control Board is the culprit. It is also seen that the curcuit board behind the fridge has broke. Please reply me for further doubts. Regards, Nandini.

Appliance Repair Boise - GE refrigerator making clcking noise

When you hear your GE Profile refrigerator making a clicking noise, coming from the back/rear of refrigerator, your refrigerator control board is bad. If your refrigerator and freezer are still cooling then you are lucky and you might have a few days to get that control board replaced. The clicking sound you're hearing most of the time, comes from a small panel located on the rear of refrigerator. Remove 3 screws and replace.

Gsh25jsrf side by side ge it is making a buzz clic clic from the back buzz from compressor clic from circuit board came back on after spinning the fan worked for a night then back to noise and not working

it sound like the compressor is overheating and the start relay could be failing because of the holiday and possible not getting a tech out there, pull the frig out from wall and remove the back panel and get an portable fan and let it blow air on compressor to keep it cool, If you here the sound on the covered axcess panel on the back the mother board is questionable. Hope this helps....

Clicking noise approximately 1 second apart

That clicking noise is possibly your compressor overload kicking off because it cannot start the compressor. Most times the start relay or the start capacitor are defective. But because your refrigerator has a mother board located on the back and behind a panel. We need to consider the board is going out. Unplug the refrigerator and pull away from the wall. Remove the screws on the rear panel to expose the mother board. Need to look for burn marks on both sides or a signed that a relay has been over heating. The board is part number WR55X10656

GE 35GT740 35" NO SOUND

Did you try turning up the volume on the remote or front panel?

Also, try unplugging the TV from the AC outlet for about 15 seconds to make the TV do a re-set.

Beyond this, there is most likely a failure and the set will require service.

The GE (actually RCA) 31GT740 uses the CTC203 series chassis. The first thing I would do is resolder the coil on the base of the horizontal output transistor and the pins of the horizontal drive transformer, as well as any other solder joints on the main PC board that look weak or cracked. 9 times out of 10 that cures the symptoms you described. If you do not have experience soldering parts on PC boards then have a qualified tech handle it for you.
