Solution. Do NOT use the remote control. Instead use only 3 buttons on the top panel of the CD/Radio. Select radio station, tune, finally program. Repeat up to 20 times for each preset. If you start at preset 1 and save it, the next preset will automatically be saved on preset 2, and so on. It works!
