That message usually means that a signal is very weak.

If your router is nearby (and not through many walls), there is a problem with your router and/or network signal.

Reset your router and if still a problem, contact your provider.

Hope this helps.

Why does my canon mg5420 say "printer not responding"

Whenever I hear of a "not responding" problem in the same sentence as "Wi-Fi" I question the wireless connection. I'm sure you've done the tests, but just to go over them; Is the printer working - can you get a test print out of it locally (setup)? Is the computer actually "talking" to the printer (Check network settings and local connections)? And, can you connect directly to the printer using a USB lead - and get a print? I would be tempted to tell the computer to find a new printer, in order to double check.

My i pod is connect to my wi fi but will not connect to internet

Wifi allows connectivity for device to device as local area networks. Where connecting the ipod to the computer is a local area network. Also, the computer can use wifi to capture worl wide web connectivity of the internet. The computer requires to have subscription to an internet provider server to make wifi make full capacity observeble beyond device to devcie captures. It is possible to have local and networking across distance with the the wifi.

The router shows it is connected, but I do not have internet acess

Hello;
First connect via Ethernet. Then
  • Click START'RUN and then type CMD
  • At the black window with the prompt(cursor) type ipconfig and search "default gateway"
  • Type the gateway address in the browser ej: 192.168.0.1
This is for enter the web administration of the router. I don't know your revision. But I will get you the Hardware Version: A1 Firmware Version: 1.04
  • Aim for Status as the picture above
On the WAN section is the actual Internet. WAN = Wide Area Network. Your computer is actually on the LAN = Local Area Network. The Computer looks the address on the router, then the router go to the WAN for the information. But this is transparent to the user. If the WAN is in cero on the addresses, you have to check the installation. when the installation are correct power cycle the modem and the router and try again. Always connected via Ethernet cable. Hope to help! coquibiz.jpg

Use of HPJ4680 in a network with Mac & PC connected to router

Ok what you do is, install the printer as a LOCAL one on one of the PC's, Probably the XP, one, would be best. or perhaps the PC; actually "Connected" to the D-link router & Modem, then Now install this printer , as a LOCAL, printer, and set as DEFAULT, enable Printer Sharing. Now, ALL PC's MUST, have a Name, Belong to the same Workgroup, have a Password. On the "Other" PC's Install the Printer as a Network Printer, browse for it and connect. Print a test page from each. Remember the PC with the printer attached, must obviously be ON or the "Others" cannot connect and print.. Make sure all network permissions are set sharing is set, especially on the Win 7. Just make sure they can all "See" each other first, before try all this.. the network MUST be intact and communicatable from each PC to at least the PC with the printer attached. Mode, Router, hub problems

Since you cant swap out the hub with a known working one, then the best advice that I can give you is to try to plug in the computer directly into the modem. If the Local Area Connection is able to gain a connection then you know without a doubt it was the hub causing problems. They actually dont sell hub's anymore but switches, here is a link to bestbuy.com that has a listing of switches and their prices that you can check out --> <a href="http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;jsessionid=LJWOPCFTAK0UDKC4D3EFAHA?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&id=pcat17071&type=page&st=Switches&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=15&sp=&qp=&list=n&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960">Best Buy Switches</a>

Can not connect to the internet

check your firewall setting.
check if your connection is working or not, by connecting to other pc if possible.
check if dns etc config for your internet is ok, for this you must call you ISP and check if there are no issues with you connection.
showing connecting cant mean actually connected, it wont work unless confuguration setting are good.

Dynex 4 port ethernet router

When the TCP/IP is set to dynamic or "Obtain Automatically", the default gateway is supposed to blank. The default gateway address of your network is actually the router's IP address.

What is the IP address that you get when you performed step 3?
