The traction control uses the ABS wheel speed sensors (1 on each wheel - usually in the wheel bearing assembly). The speed sensor is for your speedometer. Do you have an ABS light on too?
the ABS and traction light are on due to a failure with the speedometer. I SUSPECT A SEED SENSOR would be the culprit as if speed is not sensed from a wheel (RF / LF /RR / LR) the ABS module with be disabled and would lite the ABS and Brake light. the airbag and heated seats are on separate circuit. the air bag should be diagnosed with a handheld device ( go to advance auto or similar type parts store)n they will read the code.. post the code and I may be able to help ... also ask em to get the ABS / Brake codes a ell
for check engine light to blinks is you have a serious misfire fix the misfire. traction control by ABS system when there is serious misfire and you keep on acc. then ABS module will turn on traction control light
If brake pedal is chattering or pulsating it is most likely because you need either front or rear rotors, or both. They are rusted or out of round. If there is something wrong with either your abs or traction control, the abs or traction control light will come on & stay on. As soon as these lights come on, it automatically disables abs or traction control. If you would like to take out fuse that disables abs or traction control circuits, it will leave the lights on.You just wont have their functions. If by some strange condition your chattering goes away, then there is indeed something wrong with your abs or traction control.Fuses are labeled abs or traction either under hood or in your fuse panel in car.
This is a sign of a failing instrument cluster. you need to have a dealer use the IDS tool to perform a scan reading prior to repair to see if any other systems are causing this.
The computer you are looking for is called an ASC control unit and is located in the right hand side of the engine bay.
I advise you have the fault codes checked first as a new ASC control unit is not cheep and will require coding.
hi hope i can help the traction control is controled by signals from the abs system if you lose a sensor imput the abs light will also come it looks like you have a sensor on the blink hope you find this helpful if so please give it a rating thanks pete
An ABS sensor DOES affect the traction control system. Traction control uses these sensors to determine if a wheel is losing traction. A bad sensor will cause both the ABS and TRACTION lights to come on.
The CHECK ENGINE light however is going to be a seperate problem.
