Bought the laptop from a lare retailer in the UAE. Def not a pirated version and was already installed. Can not do anything with it. Need to type in a new key I believe. Can not load anything.

Do you remember "exactly" how many days ago you installed it? Have you tried your system restore back a few days?

I gave you a couple options earlier, don't know if you saw them yet, however, stuck to your computer will be the Genuine Windows XP or Vista lable. You need to input the series of numbers that are on that label to get back into windows then you need to activate it with windows online. That should do it.

This happens if you have a pirated version of windows installed on the machine. If you bought the machine at a store with vista on it call them as they should be able to fix the problem for you. Same with if you got it from the manufacturer or Microsoft. Otherwise you need to buy a legal copy and you will be able to use that product key on your machine to make that message go away.

You will need to call the person you bought it from then as they should give you a new key. This only happens on pirated or trial versions.
