Question about HP Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook
I only have the 250 MB of memory that came with laptop. I ordered an extra 1GB from Crucial and need to know how to install.
The problem is will your processor read 1GB of random acess memory. install you open the laptop remove the screws and access the mother board push down the usually white clips and lift the ram straight out, when installing make sure you ease the stick into the socket and when you have it against the bottom push it firmly until the clips lock back into place.

this free cleaner called ccleaner is really good and gets your system cleaned up, free of any spyware and free updates.
But the memory problem is the fact that your notebook may only recognise 2 of the same size memory sticks, so take out the old memory and try the new in on it's own, if no boot at all then the memory is not compatable with your system.
You can go to the crucial web site and see what the tool finds as to the type of memory you can fit
