What is a "code 2" error

What is a "code 2"

This error occurs when the BIOS did not assign an IRQ to the device. This is most likely to happen on a system that is not PCI compliantand/or is not capable of Bus Mastering. In such a situation a suggested ISA Ethernet Card would be the best sol

Error message "No domain server is available to authenticate user password"

There are any number of reasons this can happen. Please check for the following:
Verify ALL connections to the network are valid (cables, connectors, ports, etc.)
If there is no NT Domain server on the network:
1. Right-click Network Neighborhood, then select Properties from the list.
2. Double click Client for Microsoft Networks.
3. In the new window that appears, uncheck Logon to NT Domain. Click OK on all open windows, and restart the computer when prompted.
If there is an NT Domain server on the network check to make sure that:
1. An IP address has been specified.
2. The computer has been configured for DHCP.
If DHCP is configured and the error message continues to come up, ensure that the DHCP service is running correctly. Contact Microsoft, or your network administrator for assistance with this.

To connect your Xbox 360 gaming console to a NETGEAR router's wireless network:
  1. Turn off your Xbox 360 and disconnect anything from the I/O port on the back of the console.
  2. Insert your Xbox 360 wireless adapter to the I/O port as instructed by the wireless adapter manual.
  3. Connect the wireless adapter cable to your Xbox 360 I/O port.
  4. Flip up the network adapter's antenna.
  5. Turn on your Xbox 360.
    • If you are using an unencrypted wireless network, your Xbox should connect to it automatically and you do not need to proceed to Step 6.
    • If you are using an encrypted wireless network click the System tab, and then click Network Settings and continue with Step 6.
  6. On the Network Settings page, select Edit Settings.
  7. On the Edit Settings page, select your wireless settings on the Basic Settings tab.
  8. On the Select Wireless Network page, select your wireless network.
  9. On the WEP Network page, type your wireless network key, and then click Done.
  10. On the Apply Settings page, click Test Xbox Live.
  11. If this is the first time you have connected your Xbox 360 to Xbox Live, you will probably be prompted to apply an update. If there are no updates, the Xbox Live Connection page shows that you're connected to Xbox Live. Press the Y button on your controller to continue.

If testing the Xbox it says DNS failed, then update your NETGEAR router firmware:
  1. From your computer, open an Internet Browser and navigate to to download the firmware for your router.
  2. Log in to your NETGEAR router by browsing to or Enter the username (admin) and password. By default, the password is password or 1234 unless it has already been changed.
  3. Click Router Upgrade on the top left pane under Maintenance, browse for the firmware downloaded and click Upload.
  4. Wait for the router to reboot.

This product appears to be end of life. If you go to netgear's page and click on support > then Downloads> put a check mark on display end-of-life products. And you will see this device. You also click on this link to go directly there.

Got connected, but no recieved data

Firstly don't encrypt your connection until it is up and running. Depending on your router, if you require it to allocate IP addresses automatically you have to make sure enable DHCP is ticked, otherwise see what the IP address of the router is e.g and set your network TCP/IP properties to or any last digit as long as it is not the same. This is the router IP address and not your ISP address. Lastly set up your encryption but there are two ways of sharing the connection, one is called a 'wep shared key'; the other 'wep open' so make sur your pc wireless network is sharing the same type of WEP. Hope this helps Please rate this solution.
