Having trouble finding out whether it's my remote or TV that is the problem? Need help!...I have a Hisense led lcd 32" model number HL32K160L. long story short, I turned the TV on at its main power button...

Hi sounds like the remote control unit as it is a transmitter not a receiver, have you tried rubbing your hand firmly over all the buttons on the remote just in case a button is stuck down.
Hope this helps

Panasonic air con - when you turn the air con on it runs for about 3 mins and then the timer light flashes. Air con will not work.

• Once abnormality has occurred during operation, the unit
will stop its operation, and Timer LEDs blink.
• Although Timer LED goes off when power supply is turned
off, if the unit is operated under a breakdown condition, the
LED will light up again.
• In operation after breakdown repair, the Timer LED will no
more blink. The last error code (abnormality) will be stored in
IC memory.
• To make a diagnosis:
1. Timer LED start to blink and the unit automatically
stops the operation.
2. Press the CHECK button on the remote controller
continuously for 5 seconds.
3. "- -" will be displayed on the remote controller display.
Note: Display only for "- -". (No transmitting signal, no
receiving sound and no Power LED blinking.)
4. Press the "TIMER" or button on the remote
controller. The code "H00" (no abnormality) will be
displayed and signal will be transmitted to the main
unit.
5. Every press of the button (up or down) will increase
abnormality numbers and transmit abnormality code
signal to the main unit.
6. When the latest abnormality code on the main unit
and code transmitted from the remote controller are
matched, power LED will light up for 30 seconds and
a beep sound (continuously for 4 seconds) will be
heard. If no codes are matched, power LED will light
up for 0.5 seconds and no sound will be heard.
7. The breakdown diagnosis mode will be canceled by
pressing the CHECK button continuously for 5 sec-
onds or without any operation the remote control for
30 seconds.
8. The LED will be off if the unit is turned off or the
RESET button on the main unit is pressed.

When you have the error code, we can work out what to do next.

Hi I have a panasonic split air conditioner. It turns itself off immediately after turning on, the timer button then flashes and that's all.... I have checked for an error code it is H00. I have also made...

Hi Tania,
Have you gone through this checking sequence.? it's from a Panasonic a/c manual. It could be something as simple as a clogged filter. Once you have rectified the fault, you will probably have to clear the fault code as described at bottom below, before it will condescend to work again.

  • Once error occurred during operation, the unit will stop its operation, and Timer LED blinks.
  • Although Timer LED goes off when power supply is turned off, if the unit is operated under a breakdown condition, the LED will ON again.

seconds) will be heard. If no codes are matched, Power LED will light up for 0.5 seconds and no sound will be heard.
  7. 7 The breakdown diagnosis mode will be canceled unless pressing the CHECK button continuously for 5 seconds or operating the unit for 30 seconds.
  8. 8 The LED will be off if the unit is turned off or the RESET button on the main unit is pressed.

codes are matched, Power LED will light up for 0.5 seconds and no sound will be heard.
  7. 7 The breakdown diagnosis mode will be canceled unless pressing the CHECK button continuously for 5
seconds or operating the unit for 30 seconds.
  8. 8 The same diagnosis can be repeated by turning power on again.
14.2.4 To Clear Memorized Error Code after Repair (Protective Operation)

  1. 1 Turn power on (in standby condition).
  2. 2 Press the AUTO button for 5 seconds (a "beep" sound is heard) on the main unit to operate the unit at Forced Cooling Operation Mode.
  3. 3 Press the CHECK button on the remote control for about 1 second with a pointed object to transmit signal to
main unit. A "beep" sound is heard, and the Error Code is cleared

Where is the power button on Panasonic 50" plasma

The "power button", which may be identified merely with a symbol usually is located at the top of the universal remote although some place the power button near the bottom.

Check that the batteries are inserted properly and that they are in the right way, if either of the batteries is not in the position its ment to be, it won't work.

you would need a Special IR camera to see any light from the remote so that seems like a silly solution to me.

The remote is not working if you can't turn the device off or change channel. You might want to try another remote to confirm that your device actually receives the signal and works, if it does work with another remote, the remote you have is broken.

My Bose 321 series II is not responding to the control remote commands. Everything else does (TV, VCR,etc), but the BOSE receiver does not.

Replace the batteries from the remote control. Press and hold the TV button on remote for 5 seconds. If the red light shines bright, your remote is OK since it is showing it's programmable side. If unit still won't go on using the remote, reboot the whole system by unplugging the power cord and other wire from the Subwoofer. Wait one minute, then replug all and see if the system displays BOSE 321 in front when re-connected. If so, try the remote and if that doesn't work, your dead, the Infra red communication device from the unit to the remote is busted inside the unit and needs to be returned to the company like mine!!!!!

RCA DRC8030N

Hi. I recenlty fixed a unit with the same problem and I had to replace the motherboard. I could not get the remote to do a darn thing and the front pannel buttons would not do a thing either. Before going to the extreme, and if you still have functionality via the front pannel buttons, try to reset/format the unit. Keep in mind that this will erase everything on the hard drive. While in the main menu and with no DVD disk inside, press and hold the play and open buttons for about 7 seconds until you get the FORMAT message on the LCD. If this does nothing to leviate your problem, then replacing parts will be needed. I do have plenty of mother boards and hard drives left and would not mind selling them. Thanks.

what the problem sounds like is that your power button on ur main deck is broken or its in a standby mode activated by the remote. like some new dvd players that have the click in power button on the front u can turn them off by remote saving having to turn on the whole unit again from the main to use it.

DMR-ES30V remote and DVD panel buttons not responding

I assume you have fixed this by now, but if not, call panasonic's help line (number is in your owner's manual). They will walk you through the complete reset process (maybe 5 minutes). you will have to re-program everything the same as you did when it first came out of the box, but that doesn't take too long. Also, first try taking the batteries out of the remote. Make sure they are still good. Wait 60 seconds or longer, then replace batteries.
