My HP printer has a cleaning programme and a cartridge priming programme. I had trouble with my colour cartridge, in particular the cyan. The cleaning cycle never worked but the priming programme worked a couple of times but whenever the printer was left idle for a while the colour would not print.
I took the cartridge to a refill shop and the guy emptied the ink and steamed out the cartridge and print head and refilled it and then it did work for a time.
A new cartridge is expensive and so these days I just use it for printing black...
I think there must be something strange or different about the cyan ink. Sometime in the future I am going to try steaming again only this time with a deal more pressure than the guy at the refill shop used.
I am sure it will be kill or cure...
Deleting the printer and reinstalling it should be the next step to try. Sometimes my printer goes a bit eccentric or gets in a bad mood if I try and pause or cancel printing from the printer menu. I have learned not to do that with any HP printer. Once it gets in a bad mood the only cure is to disconnect it from the mains and leave it for half an hour before plugging in again.
My printer, incidentally, is a Deskjet 96 Cxi professional machine. I like it because it prints both sides of the paper and it cost me nothing.
This is almost certainly an issue with the toner cartridge. I would recommend running off 30 or so prints and contacting whoever the cartridge was purchased from if the toner doesn't pull through.
Epson printers will not accept continuous ink cartridges. That is why you are getting blank pages. I recommend just buying the ink cartridge as you need them.
They are clogged. Soak the print head in hot tap water for a few seconds, dry and re-insert. Then run the cleaning program. If this does not work, then you need new carts.
You can refill cartridges only a certain number of times.
Check the copper contacts and see if they look like new. any amount of wear and they wont work anymore. That being said, All printer manufacturers say to buy new and not refill.Maybe that is a moneymaker for them, however, I have never had good luck with refilled cartridges.
Hi steve well I suggest that you remove the cartridges and clean the little gold contacts on the carriage and the cartridge. If this doesn't work then install brand new original cartridges as the cartridegs that you have refilled the data ribbon may have been damaged when you refilled them..
Try the above and I hope it works for you Thanks J
Hi
You can buy canon refile "InkTec Canon BCI-5/BCI-6 color" and fill
Remove the empty and try to print,or you can buy canon refile "InkTec Canon BCI-5/BCI-6 color" and full it,it`s cheap instead to buy everytime a new cartidges.
Good Luck
The problem lies with the refilled cartridge.
1.) Try wiping the bottom of the cartridge with a moist paper tower, to clear up any dried ink.
2.) Put cartridge back in and use the "clean nozzle" feature on the fax machine.
3.) If these steps don't work, it is best to take the refilled cartridge back to the place and have them take a look. Sometimes it can be salvaged.
WHY:
The print-head (bottom part of the cartridge, retangular shaped, where the ink comes out) is blocked, thus the ink isn't able to come through. This is NOT any fault of the ink refilling service, but rather a wear and tear issue with the cartridges. Most refilled cartridges will work perfectly fine and save you a lot of money.
