Question about Acer TravelMate 2300 Notebook
Hi I have a acer travelmate 2350 which has been working fine until on boot up. Now it asks for a boot password, and will not let me do anything else. I have no idea what the password is an neitha does a computer tech shop i took it to. They said it may be my CMOS battery needs replacing, but cant promise this will fix the problem and seen as the CMOS battery is soldered to the board it'll cost me a hundred dollars, to which i could have no result. Would you have any ideas on this matter, it would be gretly appreciative thank you
Do u know to use Soldering iron...if u know..remove the proccessor from socket then de solder the BIOS batterry and short that two terminals on mother board without connecting the power adapter and battery...do it and re solder the bios battery..this procedure will help u to recover from ur problem..if u dont know then do it with any technician.
