You have activated the Num Pad. Look for the NumLk key , that is one of the function keys at the top of the keyboard, and disable numeric pad to get back to normal.

I bought an Advent ADE-WD1 wireless keyboard and mouse 2 - 3 years ago for my Compaq PC. I tried it for a while but got fed up with the cursor flying all over the screen and shaking without my assistance so I went back to the corded versions that came with the PC. I now have a new PC, a Packard Bell and have tried the wireless kit with it. Occasionally the keyboard fails to be recognised and now the mouse will not be recognised at all. The light underneath stays lit all the time, it hardly flashes and has no connection with the PC at all. How can I get both to work with my PC?

Only a few keys on my keyboard type at all. They don't type the correct thing. For example backspace types 123 in some permutation. Enter types a series of characters including carriage return, but also in random order. Only about 5 or 6 keys on the right side type anything at all -- never the right thing, the rest do nothing. Typing F2 to get into setup at boot-up also seems to do nothing.
